http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/c...,4678476.story A man killed his mother at their home and then opened fire Friday inside an elementary school, massacring 26 people, including 20 children The gunman, Adam Lanza, was believed to suffer from a personality disorder and lived with his mother, said a law enforcement official who was briefed on the investigation but was not authorized to discuss it. In addition to the 20 children, six adults were killed at the school; the principal was believed to be among the dead. A woman who worked at Sandy Hook Elementary was wounded. At least one parent said Lanza's mother was a substitute teacher there. But her name did not appear on a staff list. And the law enforcement official said investigators were unable to establish any connection so far between her and the school. Lanza's older brother, 24-year-old Ryan, of Hoboken, N.J., was being questioned, but a law enforcement official said he was not believed to have had a role in the rampage. Investigators were searching his computers and phone records, but he told law enforcement he had not been in touch with his brother since about 2010. |

I like how everyone is basically telling America that they need to throw out their guns, and Americans are always being so slow and resistant to change as usual. I laugh everytime a religious individual states this. If your god is omnipotent then he knows everything which will happen, including tragedies like this. |

This thread truly disgusts me. How dare you just sit back and bicker and argue over senseless means and make idle jokes over them? What gives you the right to do that after something so tragic like this occurred? Think about all the lives lost, families broken and all the care and love not given to them? People who would rather argue and make such horrible comments to one another and to the more important stake at are defined by ignorance, hatred and disunity. All qualities of a killer. What gives anyone the right to think of themselves as above when they act no better. They disgrace the already foul name of humanity, and bring lackluster to generations ahead. Shame on those ignorant who would rather argue over and mock one another to benefit their ego instead of care for those lost. Furthermore, while in reality people die each day, it makes it no better regardless of the casualty. Every person must at one point die on this Earth, and give way to new generations. To look back and remember them as doctors, athletes, firefighters, and brave men that have contributed to the joy and advancements they own today. But what happened at that unfortunate elementary school is something that will not be remembered as joyous, nor is it excusable. For while every man must die, every death can be prevented. And these deaths could certainly have been prevented. Whether it be from prayer, medical advancements, law enforcement or just sheer human kindness; all lives can live out to the finest. Think of those children as lion cubs. Today they are young, secure, and have a well future ahead of them. One day they will grow to their full length and be known as the kings and queens of the jungle of their time. Now imagine their youth, security and future taken from them. Never to experience life. Never to experience love. Never to experience the true meaning they have found within themselves and those around them. Those children are martyrs of the future. Never to experience all of life's beauties. And the parents have been left to suffer the worst fate any parent can have. My heart goes out to all the victims and those impacted in the shooting. |

I would sue the hell out of those news companies if they posted a picture of me instead of the actual murderer right off of Facebook. I feel really bad for that guy. I'd be scared for my life if I were him. Some people don't even know the actual killer is dead.
