Surpassing the specs of an xbox or PS3 isn't a huge achievement since both systems use hardware that it out of date. Even if the Wii U looks good on display now, a new playstation or xbox with up to date hardware will outperform the Wii U just like the original Wii.

But creatively used graphics engines such as the Ps3's "beyond" show that even if the Wii U ends up being just a little more powerful than the ps3, it doesn't really make a huge difference anymore. Were crawling our way up the uncanny valley on the current gen (6 year old technology) now. .

Shame the specs they released aren't full, so we still can't come to a conclusion until more detailed specs are released. It makes no sense why they would beat around the bush like this. Why have you been comparing it solely to the PS3?

Because that seems around the target range graphically wise that it can run around (also there have been some rumors) judging from the game play shown at all the demos so far. Of course these games are all running off dev kits, so maybe it could potentially be better. We'll just have to wait for the specs, but for now I'm just speculating.

Games I'm looking forward to and you should too unless you're really ******ed & wrong:

-Watch Dogs (THX RUFUS)
-Sleeping Dogs (MOAR DOGS PLZ)
-Dishonored

Too lazy to go through the game announcements but those three are def up there. GTA V comes out next year which should be mad fun since they're going back to San Andreas.

Halo 4, GTA, that Lego game looks good for the Wii U, Watch Dogs, Lego lord of the rings, Pokemon Black and White 2, Dishonored and a few others.

I really want rayman legends. Looks great. This is a perfect example of how you dont need photo realism or cutting edge technology to deliver some of the best graphics around.

Rayman Origins was awesome

Not digging the apparent touchscreen usage(it's like the DS all over again, feeling forced and gimmicky) but hopefully it's not too involved to the point it pulls away from gameplay.

Im pretty sure its mainly for multiplayer, thats all I've seen from it. And even so its probably optional.
