To be a developer, you should be able to bring your own ideas to the table. If you want to develop for iClassic, bring one of your ideas to life, script it, make the level and the graphics for it, because that to me personally demonstrates someone much more suitable to receive an invite to the team than someone who simply answers questions on an application.

I look forward to the day someone makes a thread about what they've made in terms of an idea, it's one thing to talk about it/make a list but if someone can showcase a potential new minigame/activity than more power to them.

But at least an application opens the door for someone. Someone who might just have some great ideas and the know-how to implement them. Again, it's become painfully clear to me that one of the problems Classic has is lack of developers. If not an application, then how about a sub-forum specifically made for people who want to work on Classic to showcase their work/ideas? (I know there's the future improvements forum, but that's more for players to suggest ideas, like the feedback form in-game).

However, it gets to me when I give said players an exclusive item no new players will ever get as compensation and someone finds a reason to bitch about that. Really? The complaint is that a player will have to buy back the old, non-exclusive draisine?

Are you implying that it's fair that a customer has to spend 4000 gralats to repurchase an item that they already payed for? Am I really being so incredibly unreasonable?

The reason why customers have to rebuy the draisine that they already owned was probably because it was easy for the developer to swap the sprites of the item and then remove it from the store and make a new identical one with the old sprites to sell. Don't act like anything except the artistic process was hard work. And by the way, I absolutely praise the artist for their spriting and blame this all on whatever process was used to implement this into the game.

This stuff isn't even a big deal. I didn't even mention it until someone else brought it up.

I know people will read this and say I'm being an asshole. I'm really sorry if you took any of this personally. I'm sure that the draisine thing was meant in good faith but I can't help but feel that the job was done poorly after the sprites were made (no I've never used graal development tools and maybe there's something to do with that.) That's what I got out of this experience as someone who plays graal occasionally. I didn't come onto this site to make people angry. I was sharing my opinions as a player. I don't have any influence and I'm not in charge of anything. It's just an opinion; please have thick skin.

A lot of stupid little things are immature to complain about after a certain amount of time. They can remove CTF, they can move MOD tower, they could delete all the trees if they wanted. But removing content from the game that some people payed to use with real money (talking about the tracks that were gone for over a year) is just wrong. It's annoying that people in this community can't have a real discussion of criticism without hoards of people like you simply dismissing everything. I didn't post on here to jerk myself off to my own opinions. I've only kept expanding on and explaining my views and no one wants to contribute to a critical discussion. It's healthy and totally fine that people don't agree with me but it doesn't really take the conversation anywhere interesting when people are more interested in accusing me of being underaged, insensible, having 0 dev experience, and being a troll than contributing to an actual discussion.

Anyways,

The artists work really hard for this game and even though the actual development team is stretched thin, they do decent optimizations and should generally be praised for what they do. I'd actually like to hear more about the challenges of developing for the server. I think those posts are the most interesting and are perfect for the topic.

You have no idea what devs put up with. I had shown the unexpected result of a script I was working on to one former dev (whom I heard that later at some point deleted all the files from the server and it needed to be restored from backups), and he accused me of trying to cause him to have a seizure.

I've never played CTF on the new classic. I assume the move of MoD Tower allowed them to put in more of the older MoD Town levels, which I'm okay with.

The "real money" complaints should go higher up. However, the company has a history of poor customer service reviews.

Guys they added the new rail after 1 year.
Give it 25 more years and they might be done with ctf!
Though ctf was fun to play. I'm hoping for it to be added back before 2015, can you do that Dusty? xD

youre a lil heavy on the sarcasm so dont be surprised if people reply in a negative way. i think what they mean by compensation is the fact that the new draisine that was given will be "rare" because it wont be on sale and only people that were affected by the removal of the railroad got it. Graalians are obsessed with "rares" so that might be a good compensation for the majority of the players.

Theres nothing wrong with your opinion, but not everyone feels as strongly as you do.

note: I think somebody mention it, but if you feel/felt you deserved a refund you should have tried to contact management. i have an issue with delteria because they took more than 200k out of my account, but im not going to go through the staff, im a contact management to see how they handle the situation.  

I think classic, re selling old and rare hats just ruined it, every time there is a new hat update, 90% of the time they re selling hats.

I don't see any old hats being re-sold in updates? Only thing I have seen recently was that pig mount which was sold a few years back for Valentines. Lots of the levels look really old. The tileset needs to be updated, especially since classic now has a smoother style. For example, the grab button, the arrow button and sword button look really 2002, along with many other things in Graal. I see they have not had an update in over a week, which is strange because there is usually a hat update, so there must be something "big" coming.  

OK, so i read this hole topic and i thought of a great idea that could be a "big" update.
Back in the day (2010-2011) i knew (with my friends in the guild color) many glitches, weather its off map, cliff jump, houses jump, we knew pretty much all glitches.
Now there were many house, buildings and places that could be used off map. why haven't the admins realize that it could be the new York? open the place under swamp, above York (there is a dock some where up there) and also south west of castle there are buildings. Add NEW (by new admins, i don't mean re sell old hats) hats, maybe new activities to be done, quests, horses, bodies, heads, make unique things that can be used for beginners and old players.


Also second deadwood, what the hell happened to it? it had prob the best shops, like the head shop, and that skeleton quest. Why did you remove it anyways?  

I think the biggest joke here is that all this debating and arguing is useless because management doesn't even read this stuff so you're basically all talking to a brick wall.
