Also, this may have been one of the closest games I've ever played, margin of 1 HP: http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ou-58002051 Wasn't played well by either of us. Too much overpredicting, but damn was this a close game. The whole Scizor shenanigans vs. Starmie was all planned out, and it won me the game. Was just lucky he didn't get a critical. |

and why did you calm mind with latias and then switch out also why latias > latios also you got lucky avoiding that fire blast
"too much overpredicting" it doesn't look like you were doing any at all with that move |

Idk sometimes the battles can get a bit chansey. I barely beat him once but when I did , oh man, the victreebells rang like a melody! On another intriguing note, if anyones payed attention to the storyline and plot, I happened to notice that theres substantial evidence that the game takes place 20-30 years after the events of Diamond and Pearl. Has anyone else seen dialogue to suggest this? I got this theory from only two NPCs, but theyre the only real hints to plot placement in terms of all the games: • Man in first room of Sycamore's Lab says that Professor Sycamore admired Professor Rowan's research on evolution in sinnoh as a child, which are the events of Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. • Drasna (Dragon Type Elite Four Member)mentions being raised on stories from another region of two dragons: one of time (Dialga) and one of Space (Palkia), which made her become a dragon type trainer. Shes obviously referencing being raised from a child in Sinnoh, but what intrigues me is that she kind of resembles the female protagonist, who could've become the dragon type elite four member after the events of Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Do any of you guys agree? If not please state evidence, Id love to see your evidence and find it in the game so that I can reform my story around it, I may not have found everything. |

And also, Fire Blast sucks due to that accuracy. Too unreliable. Hydreigon would have been better off with Draco Meteor there, Scizor has no SDef anyway. Not sure which battle, can't view the replays right now but it was probably to get a free-switch in. Unboosted Ninjask below 100% HP is useless aside from one attacking move in X-Scissor that does menial damage. Latias over Latios due to her access to Calm Mind and better walling potential with it, higher SDef, and Roost Calm Mind was used on the turn that Crobat U-Turned which was also the same time Lapras came in. Ice Beam was so painfully obvious it gave Scizor an opening to set up, and against his composition, Scizor was rhe far better sweeper. |
