bro if you like dudes then pursue dudes, if you like females then pursue females, but why go through the expensive, prolonged, and ridiculously ******ed process of changing your gender when it doesn't even give you working organs so you can't ever do what you were meant to do

even if you go gay there is a way to reproduce, why not just live your life?

I'm not changing my gender for the fun of it. I'm not doing this to be different, or to attract attention. I am literally doing this, because if I stayed female I would have killed myself. I would be dead in the ground because all my life, I have felt like I was male, and being female drove me into serious depression, and suicidal sprials. I can not gve you a reason as to why I feel this way, or how it's different, because it's just a feeling. If you can't understand this, that's fine. But stop questioning me, or telling me I'm making **** up because you do not understand why I feel this way, and why so many others feel this way as well.

Being transgender has NOTHING to do with sexuality, btw.

Your DNA deciphers what you are

DNA tells your body what proteins to produce. A person can have two X chromosomes and still be phenotypically male, or an X and Y chromosomes and still be phenotypically female. Not all human existence is limited to two sex chromosomes, and within those chromosomes not all of the protein production resulting from the DNA is going to be representative of what generally happens if you're identified as having that particular set of chromosomes. Some people have what looks like it could be either a ****** or a *****. Mind you, this is all precluding what influences a parent's body has during gestation.

The fact is that there is no single chromosome, no single gene, no single protein that dictates that dictate whether a person has a ***** or a ******, and some people are born with both or neither. Some people are born with a ***** or a ****** and then later start developing all of the phenotypical characteristics that are the opposite, e.g. breasts along with a ***** and a hairy chest and larger muscles along with a ******.  

There's only two gender. Male and not-Male. What's wrong guys?

You are what you are born as and the only thing that's going to change that is surgery.

If I said right now "I want to be a girl, I am a girl" would that make me a girl? No it wouldn't. Would that give me the female gender? No it wouldn't.
Why? Because I'm a male, and I was born male. Until I get surgery to change that, I'm a male in sex, gender or whatever you want to call it.

lol have you ever even taken the time to understand the difference between gender and sex? They are two completely different things. They are not two words that mean the same thing. There are two sexes, and there are multiple genders. Biologically (sex) you are a male. Your gender is decided by you, NOT your sexual organs. Your gender can be female but your sex could be male.

Please, if you're going to be ignorant and close minded, at least understand the definition of the terms you are using (btw these terms were defined and created by the World Health Organization, so don't call them "tumblr" or "hipster").

I'm not trying to pick a fight, this is actually a serious question, but what makes a male a male or a female a female if not for their sex? Is it determined by behavior? Personality?

It's how you feel inside. For example, you know you're hungry or tired because you feel something inside of you. I am biologically a male and I identify as a male, however most of my friends are girls, I hate sports and I like guys. Most of those behavioral and personality traits could probably be used to describe a girl, but obviously I'm not a girl. I was born a guy and don't plan on changing to a girl.

tldr: it's just how you feel inside.  

LOL. so unneccessary. then again its graal, Male and Female genders are probably minorities.
