I just had the strangest dream I've had for a long long time. It was pretty disturbing and quite frightening. To shorten things up, it felt like I was in there for years. Time passes differently in our sleep. Sometimes it feels longer, but for most of us it often feels shorter. I'm not sure where this dream even began, all I knew was I was lucid, I somehow figured out I was asleep. But as soon as that happened, I began to lose all control over my body and enter a vicious sleep paralysis attack, and I'd awake right into another dream just as if the previous was some strange nightmare. That dream would then tarry, and again I would understand I was sleeping, only to enter sleep paralysis yet again and birthed into yet another dream. This cycle went on, and on, for what felt like years. I don't know how many dreams I burned through that night but each time I would feel more and more exhausted and drained of energy. I became aware or this cycle; I remember trying to explain to my parents that I needed help. We went to the hospital to see a doctor, but it was only another dream. Dream after dream went by. The paralysis attacks felt worse as if I was losing control over my body and my mind. I felt under the impression that something was preventing me from waking up and I'd be stuck in this loop. I remember the dream collapsing into sleep paralysis as I was in the middle of speaking- but somehow, I began speaking the words I was dreaming in reality and the noise was enough to wake me up. I didn't feel like going back to bed afterwards. |
