Jesus christ, some look at it as volunteer work, some look at it as 'enslavement' At the end of the day though, none of us have to do what we do, there's nothing stopping Coco from retiring as the head of the team, Dusty/FP4 to stop scripting and fixing bugs, or Rufus to stop planning content, but they do it because they want to. Could they be paid for this? Of course! Some of the art I've been fortunate enough to witness not just from people like them but other graalians even on this forum they could go off and become freelance developers or utilise their skills elsewhere and probably make a ****load of money. The higher ups 'exploiting' us and making money out of it? Yeah sure, that could be wrong to. No matter how you look at it, we're doing the work, albeit a hobby, and they're getting the profits. But thats the thing though, if we were getting the profits, pixelling/scripting/LATing stops being a hobby and becomes a job, which though it sounds good, im pretty sure most people on this forum can agree with me is not something we want. |

Like I've said this is not something that would benefit just STAFF, this would be something that I believe would benefit everyone. There are people out there who are not staff with great talents in scripting and graphics that might take a job if they knew they'd be paid for their work. If there was an incentive to create, and design NONE OF YOU WOULD COMPLAIN. |

They have initiative to work, they just can't sit around all day doing it, it's called having a life, and even if they were paid the content production would stay the same. Also, they aren't complaining you are. |

The previous thread was deleted because this is not an appropriate topic for the forums. If you feel so strongly about staff members being paid I suggest you take it up with the people who run the game. You can find and contact either Stefan or Unixmad here at the official forums.
