I have no idea whats going on.

Basically Russia wants to take over Ukraine or some **** and has declared war. Now we wait to see if the US etc help them out and get involved.

As for Iraq that is a whole different situation. That was for oil and to get rid of a terrorist haven led by tyrant who was attacking allies of the West. The Crimea is not a terrorist haven or attacking Russian allies.

Parts of the southeast and east ukraine have a high russian population due to Russia being their bordering neighbor.

Im pretty sure that the US only did what they did because there was so much chaos and no one who had the skills or power to take control. The US had to train those countries law enforcement because they sucked lmao. Here in ukraine yeah its similar but not the same. Ukraine has its government now and an acting president. now russia has fired and ukraine has taken this as a declaration of war. Not exactly helping ukraine is it? This is exactly what the US did right? lol

lolwat, the Iraq war was to ensure the region continued to use the petrodollar and not switch, it's a HUGE deal for the US because it keeps the dollar strong. Ukraine always had a democratic government. As for your US comment, what Russia did is exactly what the US did...except the US broke more laws as it started its war against Iraq.

How ignorant. The US invaded Iraq for it's natural resources like oil. They covered it up by saying they were looking for WMD's or 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'.

Iraq wasn't for oil, it was to ensure the petrodollar stays in use. The other plus side was taking Saddam out of power (because he was a dickhole). Of course the official reason was 'WMD', which didn't exist.  

There is a great joke about the war, can't remember it though.

What I find terrible is the fact the country is ruined now. Although the fall of the Middle East can be traced back to the partitions of post World War One.

The only stable regions are Jordan (which is a poor country) and the Gulf, which is filled with the most barbaric and inhumane laws and rules I have ever heard of. Oh yeah and Israel who continues to impose this idiotic occupation on Palestinian land and continues to evict native Palestinians from their home to build more settlements for the Jewish people.

It's sad that how a region which was home to great discoveries in Math and Science and had such a rich history is just a big war zone now.

If that was the case they would have left the Iraqi people(ones chosen by Americans) handle the oil instead of allowing american and European companies to take over. It can be argued that both reasons are equally important.  

All out war with Russia would be the most ******ed decision ever made. Wont happen.

Now? The region we call Iraq has been **** for a long time. Iraq is a made up country the British basically created anyway. The people referred to themselves as Iraqis or something but as a country it's quite new. Prior to that it shifted between Turkish, Arab, and Iranian occupation.

It's sad that how a region which was home to great discoveries in Math and Science and had such a rich history is just a big war zone now.

People like to claim that war and whatnot started after WW1 but really it was no better before. The Ottomans were dickheads. A lot of that math and science was from Persians post-Islam. They have Arab names but they were very much Iranian. /totallynotbias

What? Iran destroyed Iraq in that war, despite Iraq using chemical weapons. Iran pushed Iraq back so far the UN had to intervene because Iran was going to take back some of the land that belonged to it. This is all while the US flooded Iraq with money and weapons to turn the tides.
