I think you could get quite a few more to participate in the future. I always see people talking about playing Pokemon on Graal.

Maybe, but it'd be hard to have them participate in the tourney without Graalians.

First off, you should familiarize yourself with the current stand-game OU meta. If you build a team, you should know your weaknesses and strengths. To excel at battling, you also have to know what kind of move set your foe is running and what to anticipate. Everything in the OU tier is very standard, only in higher rated games have I seen players running unorthodox sets. Nevertheless, you can expand your knowledge by taking a look at this.

I also noticed in your battle against Jester that you made some vital errors. I'm just going to run through them real quickly.

1. You tried to toxic Gengar while it was subbed. Status afflictions (Thunder Wave, Toxic, Spore, etc) don't work on the enemy Pokemon if they're behind a substitute.

2. You tried to use Earth Power on Gengar. While this would be super effective, Gengar has levitate which grants immunity towards ground type moves. This is usually a good ability to have on Pokemon as frail as Gengar.

If you're having trouble with types, this article will definitely come in handy.
