Because i can't get it running on Ubuntu 12.10, but after I've read all these replies to the thread, I'm questioning trying PC Era...  

I'm pretty good at Era (or was). I had like $2 mil worth of stuff, then gave most of it away. I have like a 200k gun and some other stuff though I think. Haven't touched the account in ~9 months

1. The jobs are not difficult and the controls are pretty simple to master.

2. Self revive is only need for HUGE servers like iEra where there are hostile players lurking in ever corner. Era does not have as many players as iEra, So there really is no point in paying 1000+ for something that will barely benefit you.

3. I welcome bleeding 100%. With peoples HP up to 150 on Era, its good to lose an extra amount of HP during a fight. Blood also helps you tract runners and kill scumbag runners. If you're too cheap to eat food or buy a bandaid then shame on you.

The jobs are difficult. Takes ages to scrape even a tiny amount of cash.
Self revive is needed. Every time I play and walk out the hospital, BAM! Back in again. It would benefit, I only try to get from A to B, not start a war.
Bleeding is frustrating, as I said, I don't really do PvP.
I'm a scumbag for running? Pshh.
Shame on me for making jobs too difficult to make money in the first place?  

If pc era had a better economy then i would play it instead of iera.

Also, if it had the following
Better staff
Less expensive weapons
Easier jobs
Noob friendly  

How can jobs get any easier? We don"t want this to be Runescape's economy

I use Ubuntu 11.10 and it worked fine, try to use getlibs.  

Tbh I like games with an actual economy(even an unstable one), so I liked pc more than the iphone version, despite the crap playercount  

I did play pc, since 01, until I got banned .

Ya, the economy was CRAP but at least we could trade. And I liked having actual solid, set gangs. MONGREL MOB FO LYFE!  

I don't currently play PC Era because they made the walk speed too fast, and their guns have little to no freeze.

I played Era PC from 2002 to 2010, racking up a collective 12k hours between 14 accounts.
IEra's where its at now.  

iEra's community pisses me off, not you guys on Graalians, but most of the ones who play..  

I forgot that you can spam melee near a door way. Much like spawn killing.
