I was stalking a PC tech forum and someone said they contacted HP support about the issue and that they'd have upgraded drivers soon. They also listed another temporary fix I have yet to try. I'll leave it here in a spoiler in case anyone has the issues and wants to try it. Otherwise, I'll be hoping those drivers will solve the problem when they're available.

Even if I disable all of these privacy settings, they are apparently reactivated by a Windows Update according to the commenters... I don't think I want that.

Edit: Now another poster is saying some of the information is incorrect and a lot of people are overworrying. I don't know. I'll keep it at 8.1 for now.

upgraded, the taskbar icons are way too small, even with the small icons settings turned off... this is at 1920x1080 too...

The taskbar is the same size, but the icons themselves are smaller and don't take up the entire taskbar

I really miss the window borders.

My honest opinion is that they sussed it with Windows 7 in terms of design/layout and it's gone a little downhill from there. My dream OS would be the design of Windows 7 with the speed of Windows 8/8.1/10

I'm just hoping that Microsoft will someday support ClearGlass titlebars natively. I don't like downloading third party software that messes with system files.
