That's the problem here: it's very easy to look at a situation as an outsider, comfortable in your home and say how awesome you'd handle any given situation, but things are very different in the heat of the moment.

This is how the cop SHOULD have handled it. In this video the Rottweiler was way more aggressive and was coming at him full speed and this cop handles it just fine without being a bich and killing the dog.

I would have shot it if it lunged at me, at least they didn't shoot it while it was in stance barking at them.

However, he should not have just stood there and let the dog suffer, one to the head would be more humane. Then again, he was most likely in shock.

Shooting is not the way to go, just corrupted, dumbass police officers. I think taking a bite from a dog is far better then shooting it. Grow a pair of balls.

Anyway, I can understand why the cops would have done that. I mean, it's a big dog, and it looks like it could do some damage so if I had a gun and a big dog was coming towards me all up in my face barking and **** then I'd have drawn my gun and shot it. It's still sad as **** though.

Lol. But seriously the officer had a right to defend himself. But come on one shot is enough! Other then that I believe the officers actions are justified.  

Why is this even a big deal? There have been tons of stories that have occured about cops actually being corrupt that never end up talked about on here. It's kind of sad that this thread has sparked twice the amount of discussion as Dimentio's on Egypt.

Even though the cop was defending himself, he really didn't need to shoot the dog. He could've fired a warning shot in the air to frighten the dog to back off then broke out the taser and dealt with it non-lethally.

And then if the tazer killed him? Remember there made for humans not dogs. Or even yet it could if made it even more agresive.

You know at the end when it's moving around it's actually dead? It would of died instantly it having a spasm is just the muscles reacting to death.
