That's the problem with Pokemon. Its marketing has painted it as a childish franchise, despite the fact the games themselves aren't all that childish. It sucks that nowadays if you buy a Pokemon game(it is a great RPG) people associate it with the shows and toys instead and lump you in with that whole mess.

People can't take me seriously when I say I competitively battle ):  

The community.

The reason I leave half the games that used to be great.  

The fact that Gen 1-3 Pokemon games need an internal battery.
