It fits all Cherry MX mechanical keyboards and does not enhance performance at all. It only makes it feel nicer and dampen the loud "cracking" sound of plastic slamming against plastic. Discomfort affects gaming so if you end up liking them, the rings can help you perform better. If you don't like how it feels you can easily remove them the same way they went on.

Yeah, try some out if you're interested. Arrow keys or something like that. Putting the rings on took me about 15 minutes for the whole keyboard, little effort required on each one. Just be careful on the keys with stabilizer bars.

I've got a Ducky Shine 4 with Cherry MX Reds. Perfect for games like CSGO, but the keys can be very sensitive. When I first got a keyboard with red switches I'd rest my hand on the keys, then when I looked back at the screen it was as if i was holding down the key, but you get used to that pretty quick

Longer keys like the space bar, right shift, numpad enter, etc. have little metal bars so if you press down on one end of the key, the whole key is pressed down. I'm mobile now, so I can't link a video on it (should watch one when you do it), but you pretty much just slip it out of a little plastic hook instead of pulling it straight off.

If you can play Dota on Brown switches without your speed being limited by the tactile feedback then it's low enough APM for me to consider low APM. May not be a low APM game in the grand scheme but I'm using a relative scale here. Any mechanical switches other than reds severely handicap you when playing games like osu, which is what I'm using as a reference point. I can't imagine a dota player being handicapped by using blue switches as opposed to reds. |
