The witch should stop buying black beetles but that would be unrealistic.

Why? People don't immediately sell bugs as they catch them. They hoard them, for a long time.

I sell them immediately if i want something especially anything for special events like nexus. Normal people go to the witch and see what she buys and then sell them and keep selling the bugs she needs.

Yeah so why make the witch stop buying black beetles in the off season? Then they will just sit in your inventory until next spring. If anything they should be worth slightly more because you don't find them easily in the winter.

A witch which was realistic would not make spells containing black beetles if they are not found in that season because she would get less bugs and not enough to make a spell, but I guess since this graal the witch would buy everything even in the offseason and not raise the price she buys it because she doesn't even go outside.

What does she do with them?
I've only ever seen one kind of 'potion' in game...

Aside from that, what... the brew? Burgers? Hot dogs on oasis?

She sells them to her sister in the Onnet Forest for a higher price, then her sister uses them to make potions to turn people into rats.
