On a more serious note, for this season, my favorite thus far are Overlord and Gakkou Gurashi.

Overlord is tons of fun with watching a MMO in the perspective of the "villian". Gore is amazing since there is no censors (ty based Madhouse). Three episodes out right now and it's already way better than SAO and Log Horizon, which isn't that much of an accomplishment, but still those are the closest thing to it. Yandere NPC best girl.

Gakkou Garashi, well I heard amazing things from the anime, best to watch blindly without knowing much about it. Just watch it.

Gate and Rokka no Yuusha are better than I expect them to be, since I came in thinking it was going to be some lame adventure series like a certain Chaos Dragon.

For you ecchi lovers, Monster Musume, Prison School, Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai are some of the better ones these days, which is nice. Haven't seen To Love Ru series.

Nothing is better than Nondays to make Mondays better. Non Non Biyori is such a god light hearted series that will cure your disease and bring a smile upon your face. Good anime to just sit back and relax and go "Whoof".

Along with Non Non, have a try at Joukamachi no Dandelion and Himouto (my avatar) as they are also nice shows to watch for laughs over their funny antics.

I guess I am going to use your list. Mines is full of unfinished animes and boring stories, I have no idea how they get a big rating x-x

Odd rule.

Because DEEN is notorious for below average animation and bad adaptations lately. Some examples of recent series:
Original Fate/Stay Night
Log Horizon 2
Pupa

They are no longer what they once were, rarely getting any series made. There time is pretty much up compared to some of their works at the time being considered amazing, however now most of their work are considered average at best.

Similar to Studio Peirrot which also lost their prime. Their most recent series Tokyo Ghoul was pretty bad adaptation with the root A just being complete bad.

Right now the studios in their prime I would say are Madhouse and P.A. works, excluding A-1 picture, Feel, Silver Link, J-C Staff, an Bones, who are inconsistent with their work. And KyoAni for always being KyoAni.

Madhouse has exploded with Hunter x Hunter, Parasyte, Death Parade, Ore Monogatari, Overlord and One Punch Man coming this fall.

P.A. Works has became popular with NagiAsu, ShiroBako and Charlotte, with RDG and Glasslip being misses.  

log horizon 2 was okay, it was pretty much the samething as the first season. they didnt do anything new.  

Nah animation quality was visibly worse. Pacing was slow, spent waaay too much time on those little kids.

Just because pierrot made one bad show doesnt mean they are a bad studio. In the same season that Tokyo Ghouk Root A ended so did Akatsuki no Yona which was also from pierrot and was also pretty good

animation has always been bad for that show, only time pacing felt slow was the kids arc, and that's really personal preference

Just because pierrot made one bad show doesnt mean they are a bad studio. In the same season that Tokyo Ghouk Root A ended so did Akatsuki no Yona which was also from pierrot and was also pretty good

Okay will give them props to Yona, however they are still no where near to what they used to be.

Nah the animation was worse, even the raid battles felt lackluster due to the animation. Some comparisons:

animation has always been bad for Log Horizon, that's the weak point of the show. S2 is weaker, but it was weak to begin with.

Rather than the entire studio, why not the terrible series?
I mean, Hetalia is decent, hell of a lot better than the others by deen.

Exactly, it's a decent series, but it's mediocre at best and easily forgettable. I often lurk through a couple of big anime community like Crunchyroll and Reddit and rarely is Hetalia ever mentioned. Only place where I saw Hetalia quite a bit was at an anime convention at my city, and this is the place that is filled with FMA, DN, SAO and AoT. Nothing special enough for Hetalia, especially being an earlier series that most people forgot about.  

What is this "anniemeh" you speak of? ._.

Just kidding. But I'm newer to this stuff so I need recommendations.

1. What's the best site, app, etc., to watch anime?
2. Anime recommendations? I like action, fantasy, things of that nature.
3. Manga recommendations? Again, action and fantasy preferably. No NSFW crap.

So yeah, I've basically just been reading manga but I really want to expand on that so I can actually consider myself a fan. Anime is really interesting to me.
