Cant wait until trump gets blown out in the GE and exposes what a large portion of the Republican base really is: xenophobic and acting on basic emotional urges and fear. "Silent majority" my ass. It's just a dying scream from the same group of people who put the Japanese in interment camps and forced out the native Americans. Extreme nationalistic urges are not the answers to our problems. Kind of depressing that 25%% of people on here support him, although after looking at some of the user names it seems like most of the supporters for him here are the 4chan troll types that probably browse the butt pimples of the internet like /pol/ all day and think theyre funnier than they are. Just to go all out: I legetimatley hate people who support "policies" like temporarily banning all Muslims and view them as no different than the people who supported segregation in the 50's. It's such a shame you still exist. Y'all are slowly dying off though, as this election will show. Which is great. |

Do you know how hard it is to enter the US? It can take years. And longer to gain citizenship. I can understand why people come illegally. Deporting 12 million people l, tearing apart their families, and building a wall isn't the answer. And then temporarily banning Muslims from the US. There isn't an inherent problem with being Muslim, and if you think there is you're insane. Flat taxes or abortion issues i can agree to disagree with. Beliefs like that are ones i cant as a human being who has empathy. Edit: After reading the OP apparently this thread is just for the election itself and not for stuff like this so I'll stop lol

Scenario -- after losing the democratic nomination Bernie Sanders runs as independent. John Kasich aligns himself with the libertarian party and runs as the conservative solution to Trump. Trump and Clinton maintain sizable leads but each fail to accumulate half of the electoral college. The vote for president goes to the Republican controlled House who elects Kasich. Thoughts? |

tbh I don't see Trump winning considering he's ostracized too many parties. |

Side note for the Muslim immigration ban idea. Honestly, PC exists because of society creating it. While I disagree on the idea of temporarily banning Muslims, I do agree with the intention behind it. I just think it should apply to everyone from certain, at-risk areas, not just Muslims. People disagree with limiting anyone from entering the country, and some people want America to take in thousands of refugees, yet they also want to be assured that America is safe from terrorism. And when a tragedy hits from ISIS-involved refugees, they blame the government for not keeping them safe. The government is supposed to make the hard decisions that aren't always fair, but are in the best interests of its country. It's naive to "want your cake, and eat it too." |
