It's been like 2 and a half.  

Ebola only spread so much in Africa because of the horrid living conditions of the people there, if it came to American loads, it wouldn't spread fast enough that the hospitals couldn't contain it, they would be able to.

Noting I live an hour away from emory, the hype hasn't changed here besides the newscasts. And nobody here really gives two ****s if the newscasts are going to keep broadcasting it. We all know they need fresh stories in order to keep running as a business, that doesn't really change our situation though.

But, speaking of news, there was somthing on the news about a healthcare worker from africa who got sick down here. He was rushed to emory and doc'd as "possible ebola victim" and placed in biohazard contained care. I don't know if they have identified it yet as that was the last i heard about it.

This isn't you or anybody else's place to "drop the topic"

Graalians doesn't have too many topics that are actually about substantial IMPORTANT world issues. While this website isn't necessarily for that type of stuff, it is better to have stuff like that going on in the offtopic threads.

If you disagree with a topic or whatever or you want to prove others wrong that is fine, but why do people think stuff like this is dumb to talk about? Why should this conversation be dropped? Why should be not drop everything else? Why do I have the feeling the answer you will reply with is "Becausz Ebola DUM it w0nt spre@d!!!"

This is a couple months outdated, but as far as I know the rates for Ebola haven't spiked. This graph makes it very clear Ebola is not something that needs to be worried about in Africa. There are so many more important things to be attended to (slavery would be a good start...). And with an astounding death count of 1 in the US, don't say its a concern here.

Then stop wasting your time here? It is so illogical for you to keep wasting what seems to be large amounts of time trying to convince people how unimportant Ebola is.
