Here's the Graalian psychology behind it: sparring is a very personal thing. It's the one thing on Graal where you can put yourself up against another single player at any given time and prove you're better than them. For some reason, this community hates that. In GSing, it's less of a blow to them because they go down with a team. At towers, it's less of a blow because you just die and get right back up or move to the next tower. In every spar match, someone has to lose. That puts Graalians under severe emotional and psychological distress apparently. Why? IDK, ask the kid who made this thread. Ask the people who go ape**** after losing every spar. I guess people still haven't come to the understanding that sparring is a 6-hit game that incorporates all sorts of factors (including luck). There isn't a high enough skill cap to sparring where you can just be good enough and win every single spar at will. Sparring could be a lot more competitive, but this community is too ***** for it. They'd rather make it a social event or a debate. "Why actually beat that player in an extended number of spars when I could just make a dramatic status about how much better I am without having to risk proving it?" That's how it is. |

[to my understanding] iClassic (oops, GraalOnline Classic) was recreated from the original PC server specifically for iPod. And then two years later the FB client was introduced.. [in my opinion] The FB and Skyrider clients are crappy because of various bugs. iClassic is still predominately iDevice users and always will be. could go on but im already bored. [many people believe] PC have an advantage because of different movement patterns ("strafing" as you call it), and most PCs generally have a lot less (or a lot more) lag than iPods, making them more difficult to spar. My point: PCs come along onto a server that was intended for iPods, thinking theyre "all that and more;" Of course iPods arent going to be happy. |

PCs giving management more monies and players. I remember the day when computers could first access the server.

It only continues because people conveniently overlook and spam past the points that the intelligent people of this thread are making (such as my last post). You can't really end a conversation of two sides disagreeing when that happens. It was actually dead for 2 days and then Comyt bumped it because he desperately wants this belief to be promoted. Much like their personalities in sparring itself, some people just can't accept when they've lost! Correct. It will continue as long as people say things that are worth answering. That's typically how a forum thread works. Someone should use that image as the new prompt to continue your spar streak in the main room.

I can accept the fact that I lost and not argue about a game feature for days.

wat? I highly doubt that PCs buy significantly more gralat packs in proportion to iDevices. And as for player count, I would dare to say PCs only make up 15% of Graals population, no more than 20%; and again, there are several that played Graal on iPod before PC was available. |
