From what I understand it isn't the server as much as people think. It's the client, or the chance that people are unaware of how bad their ISP could be, but that can't be the case for everyone. I do see where Aguzo comes from on this, as there is a solid ping difference when you switch devices on the same internet, even with a PC being wired in and the iDevice not so. However, despite the slight nuisance this is, I'd laugh if it was taken as a "RED ALERT SERIOUS ISSUE NEEDS FIX NOW" type deal as it's been this way and people have dealt with it without issue for years. If 60 ms affects someone that badly they need to learn to adjust anyways.

Yeah, I've found similar issues on my Mac. My iPad mini is much faster than it, both with a speedtest and from Graal's showlag. Mac usually is at 100 ms, iPad mini 4 is usually at 40-60. Though I play through the Facebook browser and am not on OSX El Capitan, which could make a small difference.

When your opponent is at a smooth 60 ms, and your ms is double that, then they can easily hit first all the time. It's mostly a spar issue, since I don't use my pc to do anything else, but there are people who use their pc for everything on graal, and it really affects their gameplay. The lower your ms is, the faster you get hits. They put delteria on Client, would it be hard to do for iClassic? |

If they have a higher ms, and have a higher delay, then they hit first only because they were past the moment that you see them on your screen. Where you see them on your screen, they are already past that on their device. Now, if you swing to where you predict that they will go, and on their screen they try to hit you (not predicting), then you get the hit, and they get no hit. |

UPDATE: I don't think that client would solve anything, because I just tested Delteria on both facebook and Client... no difference, in fact client might have been a little more unstable. Unless Delteria just sucks on PC, then idk. But the fact doesn't change that on iPad I always get lower ms, basically half of what I get on PC. Brand new PC too, no virus, decent specs. I will say this though, I have a friend who told me that they get 70-80 ms, but they have 12mb upload speed... I have 3. Do I need to pay so much to run graal on PC? There could just be something that they need to fix on PC. Who knows what that might be though. I just tested both devices right now, at the same time with 3,500+ players on. iDev Results: 85 ms PC Results: 135 ms iDev Results: 82 ms PC Results: 131 ms PC is mostly unstable, and ranges from 99 ms and jumps straight to 140. iDev is a stable 80-85 ms... I used to think the server was just bad, but it's clearly an optimization issue. |

The client has been terrible ever since release and the game is optimized for idev. There is no way you can fix it.

As Ash said, it isn't that big of a difference unless it's in the hundreds.
