these are all good ideas just not for iClassic as for the gralat drop it shouldn't be a %age of what you're holding, but a 30% chance of dropping 1 gralat and a 5% chance of dropping 5 gralats every time you die |

I'm liking everything here besides the potions idea. The only problem I see is combat-logging (logging off or entering house at 0.5 health).

I like the idea, I dont mind a death penalty, in the end you will also gain gralats. I didnt read all lf this but if the bank is added to hold those said gralats, im game.

completely ridiculous, yeah sure let's just make it so the most pks someone can get in a day is like 1,000 because they have to run all the way back to their preferred pking spot after each death????? how do you even type this out and think it's a good idea? even sardon agrees this idea is terrible |

This wouldn't help pk. It would hurt the pk community. It would take hours to get any real kills when constantly warping away from your tower of choice. Towers would have to be excluded, it would be like warping everytime you lost a spar. The gralat drop I could get behind, but it would have to be something low. 30% chance of 1 gralat, 5% chance of 5 gralats, 1 percent chance of 10 gralats maybe. The problem is even with the bank if it hurts the gralat packs buyer's view of how worth it the packs are, they won't do it. |

Don't see why this wouldn't work for classic, it sucks on era cause people use their 200k guns to randomly shoot all over the streets.

I'm not a fan on the lack of any sort of repercussions when PKing, there's absolutely no reason to PK strategically or avoid death. Death means absolutely nothing when PKing--you don't have a death statistic to worry about, you don't have to worry about not dying before the other person because you can just get back up and immediately go back to what you were doing. It seems like something you just spam mindlessly until you get bored and leave. However I don't think dropping gralats is an appropriate deterrent to death... after all people could lose their actual money spent on the game since Graal doesn't separate bought currency from in-game currency. I do like the idea of spawn points though, but they wouldn't be predefined. The system I worked on looks for the nearest house and spawns you inside of it. If you had died again instead of spawning in the same house you'd spawn in another random house nearby, and if you died a few times at the same spot(for example, south of the Nafets bridge), instead of spawning at the nearest house, it'd spawn you in a house ahead of the direction you were going(going along with the example, at Taylor Richaard's). This would hopefully avoid issues with players getting camped and stuck in a spot and not being able to progress. |
