It differentiates players from when they first played. If you took my FB account I'd probably be considered a relative newbie. My forums.graalonline.com account was created 12/03/2002. Still, I don't know whether that's in line with when I created my player account, when I upgraded to a subscription plan that permitted access to the forums, or when I first registered for the forums.

I like the idea of giving birthday gifts on the day. But I'm not a fan of showing the year. It just promotes the ****ty elitism that a lot of older players think is important.

From my impression, the leftovers from PC Graal are just happy that there are more players. If that's truly the case, then it could help reign in elitism. Then again, people can act like assholes for stupid reasons, myself not excluded (doesn't mean I actively try to be an asshole).

I also like the birthday present idea.

I didn't quite catch your question mark on the post I responded to. I'm still having trouble finding it. I'm guessing you're referring to an earlier post in the thread. I'll look into it.

Okay, that wasn't the case that you used a question mark, I'm guessing your question is why it might be important to some people, in which I believe my first sentence in the post you responded to is a potential answer.

I can't imagine why that would be important then, and why promoting something like that would be a good idea.

All I see this doing is people doing stuff like "must have joined Graal before 2011 in order to join guild" and "my account is glitched I actuslly joined in 2010"

I don't see how it's any better or worse than masses of players having "2009 player *SIGH* Graal was so much better back then" in their status?
