In response to number 2, they have lives yknow. If they wanna take a three week break from developing an MMOS like this to prepare for a large, paid expansion, then let them.

And you realize this is their job, correct? This would be more than acceptable if they were making this game for fun or for the hell of it, but you can't just allow an entire company's dev team just not do anything for weeks.

Several people and myself can confirm they still deliver on number 3.

Such sample size. If you and some buddies can "confirm it" then it must apply to the entire GW2 playerbase. Hasty generalization.

He's saying the problem with the subreddit is that due to the fact that it's so overwhelmingly positive, ArenaNet has no constructive criticism to build upon and improve from - no reason to get better if everyone's singing your praises. Obviously not a good thing for a flawed game (or every game for that matter), especially an MMORPG.

#2, Yeah point I'm trying to make. It's not that the developers aren't putting in enough effort, it's that they diverted their efforts away from delivering their promises of living world content, and instead created a paid expansion, to which everyone suddenly forgave them for their lies. They were delivering just fine the first year until they decided to cut their team working on living story, and put most people to work on expansion content they could sell.

#3 is hardly an opinion-based question. Besides bug fixes, and ui changes, there have been periods where they went months without updates.


#4 yes, that's true, but I was just trying to say that the guildwars2 subreddit isn't negative, someone else said they're usually negative.  

Skimmed through this, someone said GW2 has bad PvP, lol'd GW2 WvW is amazing, you may not have tried it, but it is truly a masterpiece.  

PvP is ****, WvW on non-T1 servers is incredible. Whoever said PvP was probably talking about sPvP/tPvP which is pretty ****ing garbage.

Wvw is alright but its completely inbalanced in terms of population.  

WvW isn't about PPT man, you're doing it wrong if you care about score.

All about the zerg busting, tactical fighting, and outsmarting the other servers by strategy over numbers. GvG too.

Yeah, I do enjoy soloing supply camps all the time.

Yeah, they really should merge the bottom 12 NA servers into 6 or the bottom 9 servers into 3...  

Revenant looks pretty lame with the leaks/datamines.  

OK I'm going to be back playing this (at least through when the expansion comes out). Shoot me a PM with your IGN or something. I'm on jade quaggan for WvW.
