I've been summoned. Alrighty, I have to say that quite frankly the Zero series and ZX series reign supreme for platforming standards. Zero was all skill based, you can't suck in that game at all, and I feel that oppression makes me want to try harder and get better. ZX was my first X Type game ever, and I was amazed how cool the Models were, and how useful. The Missions were a little annoying. X is good...but I hate X5-X8. X4 set the standards for the finale, but X5 just went...wrong. X6 is an awful game by all means, never touch that. X7. Great game totally. I love how I have to do a side mission to play as the MAIN CHARACTER OF THE SERIES. X8 tried to be like the SNES games...but didn't do too well in that dept. it's mediocre at best. Speaking of the SNES games, YESSSS I LOVE HOW MEGAMAN CNA NOW WALL JUMP OMG THAT BLOND HAIRED GIRLY ROBOT HOLY CRAP DASHING TOO SABERS BEAM CHARGING SPECIAL WEAPONRY OMFGGGGGG AMAZING WOAH COOL~ Onto the RPG action games. Battle Network will be referred to as EXE, cuz it's more catchy. EXE1 isn't that great, but it set the standards. EXE2 was awesome, and added more cards and Style Changes which are really cool! Hub Style is still epic. EXE3 Black/Blue Version is technically the more superior version, because it has more cards and Shadow Style instead of worthless Ground Style. Great game and story a good end to EXE... but then they milked a cow and we got EXE4.... FUUUUUFUHGUGUFUGUYIGUYVIUTRGVYFCUYGUVYGV WHY?! WHY?!?!?!? Let me calm... By any means am I saying EXE4 a good game. The music is...repetitive to some but I find it quite cool sounding and it has a specific feel. The Battle system is refined and has Full Syncro, a cool new battle addition. Souls are awesome to say the least, #SearchSoul. Why should I play the game 3 times? Absurd.. EXE5 took- oh wait! EXE4.5 was a sort of, PDA game...and it was odd. Japan only. EXE5 took EXE4, bashed it in with a stick of butter, and eventually killed its sucky parts off for a similar to 1-3 gameplay, plus the new awesomely tactical Liberation missions. The DS game is technically the best one, but I think the GBA ones are better because of nostalgia. HOLY COW EXE 6!! Takes the old style which made EXE1-3 awesome and refines it with the new battle systems of EXE4/5. Sadly, no more Boktai Crossover ![]() At least it has Link Navis, a better way to do Souls, and Beast Out which is so tactical and fun to use. I love the Risky Beast Over. Onto my favorite series along with ZX... Starforce! Here's an anology for the series. You have an awesome looking and tasting cookie that everyone likes. You try to make one, and it tastes good, but rough on the edges. You make a second, and it's burnt and distrusting. Someone tries it and dies. You make a third, but by that point no one wants it since your second, a shame since it was better then the one you're trying to copy! SF1 can be described as a good game, but really just a cash in for EXE fans. 3 versions and really, you didn't need all of them at all. The characters, and events are really cool, nice memorable music, and one of the best MM games ever; just a tad bad though. SF2 has the EXE4 effect. Sucks in every way but battle. Story is a ****ty mess, and I hate that **** so much...ugh, despite that, it's fun battle wise; MINUS THE DAMN ENCOUNTER RATE, JEEZ! Tribe On is awesome with one tribe, but Double Tribes are extremely fun to use and explore with. I loved how you could combine them all for a huge powerful godly Tribe. The WiFi addition was the best thing going for SF2, as even EXE5 DS never had that. Onto my favorite of the series, SF3. GET THE GAME NOW DAMNIT ALL OF YOU GET IT NOW I SAID EBAY GO GO GO RED JOKER OR BLACK ACE IDC GO GET IT!!!! Ahem. Starforce 3 is just great along the lines of EXE3 and EXE6. The series was ruined by that awful second one, but SF3; I assure you fixed everything. For one, the characters feel like how they were in SF1; with deep problems and all. You can really have a Majoras Mask effect by the end of the game where __________________ is falling towards Earth, made of ______. Noise forms reference previous Tribes and Star Breaks. Corvus- Leo Taurus- Saurian/Battle Tribe Dinosaur at least the fire ones. Multi Noise and Brotherbands become important, because of the new WiFi battling, which is ?ber competitive and far harder then the damn Pogeymans. I really wish more people would form BB's and battle me. *nudge nudge* Finalizing is an extremely cool system that is like evolving mid battle. Shame I didn't know how to do until the Final Boss =^= The forms complement the Player's battle style, Red Joker for hard hitting, slow defensive players; while Black Ace is for fast, hard hitters who want the battle to end quick. Absolutely wonderful, favorite game, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED GO GET IT ON EBAY NOW. Classic Series is...Classic (;

Alright, I agree with you completely that ZERO required skill. Didn't play ZX but I did play ZX Advent. I don't like the difficulty gap in that game, easy was a joke, then all of a sudden. Normal is pretty damn hard! Then Hard is really difficult. and EXTREME is downright impossible (Yea Im talking to you BiFrost! and you Prometheus and Pandora double boss battle!) X4 should have been the end of the series, I agree with that. X5-X8 I dont really agree with that... X5 was just basically a shadow of X4. X6 I can't even defend, NOTHING was something to defend. Its worst than s***. X7 I didn't like the 3D at all. I couldnt see where a f***en hole until I fell in it. The 3D segment was basically just a trial-and-error of finding holes, where the reploids are and finding the quickest way to save them from this terrible game. Second on X7, when you die, its only the character who DIED that gets full health, the other character was just SOL and had to waste a life just to fully heal Zero or Axl or X. Also that god damn steamroller that follows you trough out the level. Its just soooooo damn tedious, boring, bland, and just down right the perfect example of the poor 3D aspect of trial-and-error. You need to know where he is attacking in the boss fight, where all the holes are in the chase, and all of those god damn mechs and explosive barrels. X8 Was the best closer, they just took X4 and made it better, some things are worse (like Gravity Antonion's stage). X8 wasnt trying to be a SNES game. that's your misunderstanding. They just got rid of the 3D and improved the graphics. It was in no condition of trying to even TRY to act like a SNES. This could be my ignorance again, but I'm pretty sure that your just looking at X8 wrong. |

NES/FamiCom Rockman 3, and 6 were prolly my favorites Out of the X series, 3, 5 and 6 were all my favorites, for diff reasons. (I also like the rockman.exe games, but those aren't action side scrollers, so I don't count them.) (Also, I rly liked the whole Zero Virus thing, that was awesome playing x5 in the clam bosses (I can't recall his name) stage, and finding the secret path to fighting the currupt Zero. :> |

Story was awful. Inafune didn't even want an X6-8, 5 is the timeline end. Zero said goodbye in X5 but CAPCOM said, eh, let's milk it. Then we got "I hid myself while trying to repair myself" which makes no sense, as X could've repaired him at the base, and I'm pretty sure a torso and a head can't repair itself. Plus, the shadow zero stuff is stupid. |
