in Graal Classic, you could collect the heras (a set amount each time) after beating a quest, and or dungeon. After you had collected the set amount needed (shown near the top right of the screen) you could find NPC's that would sell you a heart piece, raising your max hearts by 1.

Did You Know: The Gnomes in the swamp town cave, near the entrance to swamp town would buy your heras after helping them with they're problems*
