Would be nice but it will probably drain the battery quickly for iPod users and maybe create lag and yeah a option to turn it on or off would be good.

Nice ideas! But maybe a few things added to it, if any of this is feasible: Like some people said, add in occasional lightning. It would instantly kill you and you would be warped to an unstick me point. The weather would not have to be the same all across the map. For example, maybe one day it would be raining in swamp, deadwood and york but nowhere else. Then the next day is sunny everywhere, but the day after that there's a big storm in belle and by castle. The weather could affect bug spawning. While it's raining, some bugs that spawn in that area will have a higher spawn rate, while other bugs will have a low spawn rate or no chance of spawning in that area until the weather changes. Some npcs will go to the nearest inside location while it's raining. That's all I have for now. |

What if they had a pay toll when it was flooded, unless you had googles or a cloud mount, hen you don't pay for sh*t Or you could just 2p mount your friends |

lighting strikes should do damage, tornadoes should pop up and warp you, flooding should be used to give or block access to certain areas at different times.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ nuuuuu i don't think so so its just gonna go back and forth night and day all day? how about no. just pick a time zone if you must like est. then set it up to get dark when it does in the eastern U.S. or just set up an in game clock that can be checked by looking at any ones status screen, and make it dark for like 7-8 hours if you want to make it like irl. You could even make it less if you think thats to long in a game. |

Many PC Servers have weather/day and night systems. Some complex, some less so. This definitely wouldn't be anything new nor hard to do.
It only makes sense to have it change every hour or more, so that it changes for all time zones. Unlike one time zone having it realistically set, and the others having it all out of whack. |

That is also why in another thread i suggested the idea of a warper to allow travel back and forth from day/night maps freely. I think this would be easier than trying to set up a time flow system. The problem I see with a time flow change is this: Some areas are supposed to be closed off during the night and some previously unaccessable areas are supposed to open up during the night. If that was to happen your always going to have ppl in areas that are supposed to be closed off during one of the time periods. So how do you fix that? |

one thing i've never liked is seteffect, it just doesn't have the same feel as the old backpals. the biggest problem is that it covers up player text and sprites, so its more of an annoyance than an atmospheric tool.
