As for the time period after Storm asked, sometimes you don't have all your members on. You have to either do what you can with what you have, or make the team effort a team effort, not put the blame on 2 members if the score goes down. |

This leads back to the fact that guilds should stay on one tag. If we hadn't been banned and forced to use a separate tag, or if Ch4rM didn't use a separate tag to practice, things would have been a lot simpler. No other way to say it; things really should change. |

True. Storm just asked me to spar, but didn't tell me who we were sparring. The whole reason we stayed was because we were disputing in guild chat if we should fight you or not, but that didn't end up happening. She told me about her challenging Rufus and said it was supposed to have been awhile ago when I got there. I guess we should use Ch4rM tag more often to spar, but we like to see what we're dealing with. If there is a lagger in a guild that causes the game to end in a tie we would not go on tag because that would be pointless to just tie games and lose score and miss out on gst because of one lagger. Another example is if we only have a few people on to spar against a guild of 5 then we wouldn't go on tag most likely because we want a fair fight. The next time we challenge you guys we will use Ch4rM tag if you use your tag as well which I guess now is US Juniors. However, if we feel the need to leave after a certain amount of matches we will do so.

We usually guild spar with Ch4rM when our team is on. Sometimes when it isn't. W1nK is used when were not actually going all out, but more like messing around. Also, I remember how we sparred US with Ch4rM tag a few times and we had like 2 less people.

Answering both Shaun and Tyler, if you don't have enough members in your guild online to spar and you think it would give others an unfair advantage, I don't see the point in sparring. I understand your situation. Possibly you weren't aware of our change of guilds since we were banned from GST, and that might have been a possible reason for this confusion. In the end, no big deal. No harm done.

I guess. Also, is it even possible to get to frikin 10k? It gets so slow you go up like 10 points a win against oretty good guilds.

With near 8400 points, we gained about 1-3 points per win against the second place guild with 7600, yet lost 120 a loss. Either all the guilds are going to have to raise the average guild spar score for all guilds, or nobody will ever reach 10000 points. ...Fairly... |

With there being a conflict on this topic, we should probably post some ideas to solve this problem. I was thinking that the points could be completely reset if the guild doesn't spar for an extended period of time, preferably a week. A guild spar room or two in the Battle Arena also would probably increase guild spar action, since there are often times that theres absolutely no guilds at the Swamptown Arena. There could also be an incentive to guild spar, such as an optional gralat wager which each guild member participating would have to pay, and the winning guild would have that wager split evenly among the participants. With these things, players will become more avid guild sparrers, and the opportunity to reach 10,000 points will be dramatically increased.

I don't like much of that post, Papyrus, in my own opinion. some guilds take a break and come back later, they shouldn't have to start their numbers up all over again. Its still the same guild, right? Waging gralats is never a good idea with the number of hackers, plus boosters. Also, this would give guild sparring an advantage over tower taking. The game needs balance for everyone to be happy. Ever since the guild system started in early 2010, tower taking has always been a favorite as opposed to guild sparring. Tower taking requires less skill with more players, and with people jumping guild tags all over the place, its way too easy to take and hold a tower. Guild sparring requires a only a select few trusted, quality members. However, most people tend to play the easy sport. If more people got into guild sparring, and joined loyal guilds and didn't switch tags every 5 minutes, Graal would be much more balanced and fun. GST started the change, and I start to see more guilds become more exclusive, close, loyal, etc. The more guilds like this, the better it will be. Be a member of the guild. Not just a holder of a guild tag. |
