Apparently Google's licensing ran out or something and they didn't bother to renew it. Plus side it means Google may release their own, and if they do chances are it'll be better(hated the Youtube app on iPad because it forces highest resolution, which my internet isn't fast enough for. No reason for not providing a resolution option except that they felt that lower resolutions would "dirty" their precious iPad). Just don't know when, or if it'll ever happen.

It's funny 'cause it was a stealth-delete. I just went to check out the youtube app(actually was hoping they'd update it to add resolution choices) but I couldn't find it. Hunted for it, used the search feature and it was no where to be found, lol.

Honestly, I don't think Apple's really been doing so hot update-wise. The iPhone 5 doesn't have any particularly innovative or interesting upgrades, while iOS6 just....isn't impressive. AND THEY REMOVED EFFING YOUTUBE.
