While im here, can someone please explain the commotion about art styles in graal? Like maybe its something im missing here but im a ok with the different clashes of style. In fact i think it would benifit izone a lot since izone is supposed to take you across different planets. All the planets having one particular art style seems, i dunno, dull. I think it would be pretty kick ass if one planets style was classics fairly flat graphics, another eras heavy shading style, another being a mix of the two so on so fourth. I think that would be cool and really give you a feeling of you being a forigner in another land and you don't belong there.

It's not just art style, but it's content style, and simply the theme and overall concept of the server. Even then, the levels aren't the only thing pertaining to art style. There's also hats and the menu screen, and many others as well. Hell, even the sound effects and background music have style. In the end, all of this creates a certain level of unity. In art, unity is valuable, and can make all the difference. If you view video game development as an art, all of what I just said creates the theme, which should compliment the concept. When it does, unity will be achieved, and you have one hell of a server.

not a portals, you can chance layers with elevators by foot or with airships

Have you heard it? It's really rave-like and it just sounds like you're standing in the middle of a nightclub. I turn my music off for any Graal game I play, including Classic (mainly because the tunes get stuck in my head ) but at least on Classic I don't mind listening to the music. On Zone, I turn it down because it's very obnoxious, and I'm sure many others can agree.

What don't you get? The map is pretty bad, period. On Classic there's lots of different areas you can explore. If you want to get to, say, Nexus, there's various routes you can take to get there. On Zone, if you want to go somewhere, literally it's just "Take this single path and you'll get there. This is the only way to get there, no other route." It limits exploration and finding short cuts and such.

This makes even less sense. You need nature to survive. Why should fishing get disbanded on the future? I don't think fish troll magnets are going to exist. No casinos? Do you even watch Futurama?

True we need nature to survive...but isn't Zone in outer space? Last time I checked there isn't any autotrophic or plant like organisms in outer space (that we know of). The Fallout picture looks nice, but when I'm walking on a road it's very awkward to see, like, one random tree on the sidewalk and then not see any others for a while.

Does it make sense to fish in outer space? Someone said it earlier, but isn't Zone held up by some robotic engines in the air? How does fishing even work? It would make more sense if it was at least space themed (fishing for stars, asteroids, comets, etc). As for the casino, it looks futuristic on the outside but on the inside...well, it just looks like something you would find on Era. Also, the casino isn't a great piece of art either (no offense to the creators of it, but I know that they, too, don't like it).

Actually this whole thread makes no sense. Chosing Dropbox as uploadserver to make sure no one uploads a file, removing jobs to add more jobs, blaming about the tileset but not helping in making a new one, the balancing of the balance (don't get it wrong Ghetto) and blaming for everything, which can be anything but is actually nothing.

A few things here. One, are players not allowed to contribute ideas even if they lack artistic skills? If someone wants to make a new tileset, that would be great. But for now, you can't condemn players for wanting to give ideas, can you?

Removing jobs to add jobs. Isn't that also known as replacing them? Is there anything wrong with that? If you had a charger that didn't work, wouldn't you buy a new one?

I didn't understand that last part that I bolded.

As I said, skyworld is floating on a planet, making robots do all the job would be boring and destroy every job. Fishing asteroids and comets? How is that supposed to work? :p

As for the casino, if you mean the graphic, it is similar to Futurama. Haven't checked the casino for longer than a year, don't remember exactly how it looks like.

It is not that, the idea of changing a tileset is 2years old or older, Tashkin paid a graphic artist to work on the tileset, I think he stopped, not sure.

The last part wasn't about you but some here don't accept Zone as it is and prefers a complete reset, but that would only be effective with accounts included. It feels like some are blaming because Pong isn't TicTacToe.

I think it would be cool to make skyworld floating over venus. It would make sense, because the air density difference would allow skyworld to float. Then a weather system can also be implemented, which could include acid rain and meteor showers (Although meteors aren't really weather), since skyworld would hover partially above the atmosphere.

I think there should be different zones that restrict you from being able to use the jetpack. It would not only reduce the power of the jetpack itself, but also give the vibe that Zone has a system of law. Part of the theme on Era is that it doesn't have law, or at least, the people don't obey it. I think Zone's theme should include a sense of order, hence the organized warfare, and my idea that a pvp arena should exist, rather than all out warfare on the streets.

The planets, on the other hand, shouldn't have law, because they're an entirely different story.

It reminds me of those good MMORPGs, maybe we should have more "Skyworlds" instead of a big one, for example one conquered by Gemini, another one by Aquarius etc. The ones that own the "skyworld" have NPCs wearing their guild tag and their logo in some places. It would become useful when more guilds get the 5000h reward and need their squadbase somewhere. I always thought removing skyworld 2, where Spring, Iricia, Choros and Conquest used to be, was a bad idea.
