Salamance's ability Aerilate makes normal move flying, that means Salamance's double edge becomes flying with 30% boost and a stab making it a more powerful brave bird. If mega-salamance gets a speed boost, that's gonna be devastating, more worry some than TalonFlame.

After some damage calculation with 30 boost to the base of each mega's main offensive stats that I believe would be used. Salamence is quite good, Altaria might be used as a SpD tank instead and Loppuny, well Luppuny might be best on a OU Monotype team.

Realistically, Salamence (and the vast majority of non-priority speedy offensive threats) will be running Jolly, not Adamant in the very, very common case of a speed tie in which the Jolly user will always win, so I feel like a few of those 2HKOs become 3HKOs, such as the Ferrothorn and Gliscor calcs which are both very relevant.
