Noticed earlier that one of the old Christmas hats had been remade and the old version was completely replaced. Is there any reason for this?


Honestly I really like the remake but I'm not that happy with the hat being replaced. I also hope this doesn't mean it's going to happen to other older hats and I REALLY hope this hat isn't resold.  

I'm pretty sure this was meant to be reverted and cache is just slow. But the update was on accident. I had asked about it when the hat update was visible. I can't remember the specifics of what the accident was but it won't be resold.

Some of my devices show the old hat and some show the new one. Cache sucks

Ohhh I see. Well I'd definitely love to somehow get this version of it as well. I love it. I just wouldn't sacrifice the original version.  

The newer version looks better. I'd be down with older hats to be revamped or fixed up like that. Unfortunately nostalgia gets in the way of having better hats.

The new one does look a lot better. If they ever do update older hats I would love to be able to have a choice of which ones to keep old and which ones to get the remake of because I quite like a few of the older hats with bad designs.  

I like the way the firefighter hat was handled in destiny. The firefighter hat was updated but not the original file. Owners of the older hat kept the old gfx and could also get the new hat, as well as a special hat. If a similar method were introduced where only owners of the old hats could receive an updated version as a separate hat I think that would keep the peace.

There are some old hats that should not be touched because their identity is that they suck. The first one that comes to mind is hat184.png

Agreed 100%. If they handle it this way it would be the best.  

Hm someone should look better about this, i dont want my few old hats to be replaced, i one of the players who dont like at all the new "smooth" design.

Exactly, i dont have a lot of old hats, and i really like them, and im only wearing these ^^. We payed for the old design, not for the new.

No offense but this meme is pretty dumb. The old octopus is way better and kind of funny. The new one more serious, thats not even the same thing. We just dont want the things we bought becoming something we dont like. And everyone has his own tastes i think ?
