Is there a massive Brazilian player base now? Larger than the French one that I remember?

There was a period of a couple years when there were no railroads, too.

Losing one method of transportation is less important than losing a reason to play imo. Most of us were used to traveling by horse anyway

It’s been a while since I logged on, and I felt like putting my contribution. Please ignore Flames in my name, it was my name back in 2015-2016 and I don’t know how to change it here...

To me, the whole game is going downward.

From Warps in towers, to intense lag spikes when around 2500 players online, to Everything that you mentioned... I think something should be done. Thousands of players are spending 100+ dollars every month on this game, and to me, there should be some sort of investment on some levels.

Another point that I feel like it should be mentioned is how the community seems to be Ignored in every single part of the game. We are definitely getting replies from dusty, crono and some here, but nothing seems to be moving even though they’re replying to us.

I got an idea earlier : We should have the option to change the tilesets ourselves in the settings. Since this is a client-side visual thing, it shouldn’t cause any issues. I used to do it years ago when my iPod touch 3G was jailbroken and it wasn’t doing anything wrong whatsoever.

There’s definitely some work to do, and personally, I think the game is still good, but it’s not heading toward its best route. Just my thoughts

After 8 years of playing Graal, I have witnessed a lot of changes. Some of these changes are big, and some small. The point of this thread is for constructive criticism and to explain why I have become distant from Graal. All of these points are just me giving my opinion.

1. The Tileset Change
-One of the earliest changes that I strongly opposed was the changing of the tileset. For those who are newer to Graal, iClassic used to use a tileset very similar to this one:

Before changing it to the one it is now. I had grown up with the game loving that tileset which I found to be a lot more visually pleasing than the current one that looks like faded plastic.

2. The 5 Guild Limit
-This one is self explanatory, but In a HEARTBEAT I would give back the New Guild System in exchange for taking away the 5 guild limit. Before the 5 guild limit i was in roughly 15 guilds. Sometimes you stay in an old guild to be reminded of the fun memories you shared with the members who may not play as much anymore. To me, 15 guilds does not seem like a lot. I understand the reason why they limited it to 5, but I had to make a heartbreaking decision to leave 10-11 of my oldest and best friends guilds because if I did not, i would never be allowed to join a guild again. The forcefulness of this is brutal and I am still bitter about this.

3. The profile change
-Oh my god I cannot stand the layout of the new profiles with the slide bar and having to swipe across to see someones stats. In Graal culture (lol) its very common for people to change their names, make it something stupid like unknown or player etc. With this trend it becomes difficult to remember who's who on your friends list. A few friends of mine, I ended up knowing who they were because i had memorized their stats. Now it becomes even more difficult to keep track of people and becomes more of a hassle to see the stats that I want to see from someone.

4. The Farming Nerf & Gralat change
-Farming used to be so much easier and smooth. Years ago, if you put a bomb in the grass, you actually had the chance to maybe have every patch of grass spawn a gralat. Now if you put 3-4 bombs in a huge patch of grass you can still sometimes get NOTHING. This was rarely the case around 2010-2011. There used to be tons of unique and fun methods to farming such as horse farms. Farming has evolved so much that using bombs in grass IS NOT EVEN AN EFFICIENT WAY TO FARM. The current "farming meta" (lol) is to get on a horse, and ride around slashing the grass because bombing grass has become so unreliable. Additionally the new gralat sprite looks terrible imo.

5. The Furniture Value Nerf
-The final nail in the coffin. Now i understand they have every right to do this, its really funny and incredible how higher management sees this appropriate. This HAS to be hurting their sales. I know i have purchased gralat packs simply to buy furniture for my house. Now i would never think to do that in a million years because it has nearly ZERO VALUE. I hope no one else falls victim to buying furniture going forward, because it has got to be one of the biggest money pits i can think of. I understand it is to prevent a glitch that abusers were making money off of. But you need to work on fixing the bug and ban anyone caught doing it. Not make the entire community suffer.

Some of these complains of mine could be changed by offering a toggle option to turn on and off the new profiles for example but yea.

Go download the PC graal client. Then make a forest like Master Li's Woods, FROM SCRATCH, then put some baddies around and make it look like a guarded forest path, With Attack, Hurt, and Victory DIALOGS included and set for each baddy uniquely. Then make an enemy NPC that will ride on horseback and attack the player, You may not get ANY help at all, you must change the script to make it work by yourself.

Then come back to me and tell me how much you now realize how hard it is just to make this game look good. Im not arguing about your tileset argument, but im just saying after creating a quest using 15 levels, I can see how much the staff actually have to do just to make a Baddy in iclassic.

From 2009-2012 the spar community was active, the tower competition was crazy, admins always gave out hats and made public appearances that made caused huge crowds.
Now the spar community is dead, even during GST week its not the same. Tower competition is not the same. There used to be recognizable tower guilds that were well known (Venus Gospel, PULSE, Etc). Towers used to require 15 people to hold it and 20 people to take it.
Not sure what changed in the game to cause it but the gameplay and community is not the same. But there is still a decent population of roleplayers and it seems like the game is completely social/event based now. The overall skill level of the average player in terms of PK and Spar has plummeted.

(to me) Graal was perfect from 2013-'16. I was hyped to log in almost everyday, checking out new contents, friends, GST, but that didn't last forever. I eventually got tired after 2016. so no matter what they threw at me didn't excite me a bit. Also friends on Graal were #1 reason why it kept me for couple years on Graal. When they started quitting, that's when I stopped playing too.

Also you can't blame players for gralat and furniture price nerfing. Classic had their own reasons, but **** that. Players shouldn't struggle from it. So I think it's totally valid to cry about it. It's just half forcing people to purchase gralats.

I don't understand you people with this brazil stuff. Brazillians are nowhere near being a majority of the player base. The player base is, and always will be, Americans. America is 79% of the playerbase. There is more americans than brazillians, I don't get how brazil makes up the majority. Take a survey, then we'll see. Until then theres more americans, Russians, Europeans, Muslims, Asians, Australians and Japanese players Vs Brazillian Players. and those Europeans, speak english so their considered Americans automatically along with all those broken english people,

After all that math is done, you'd see that Brazillians are only 9% of the server.(Though they never log off so they also cause 70% of the lag)

Dropped in to say that I hate the new profile layout, so annoying to scroll through everything on PC and it just looks ugly and unappealing, I understand that it adds more room for birthday/timezone/achievements and whatever but I don't get why every single statistic needs to be on the 2 slide. Like someone said earlier I used to have people's stats somewhat memorized so that I could still identify them if they made a name change, but now I hate scrolling through their profiles to see everything and it's super inconvenient.

This is wrong in almost every way, Dusty, One of Iclassic's game devs himself even states that Brazilians are infact the majority playerbase now. As said in this thread and page below-V( Can't direct quote because topic closed)

So I have no idea where you pulled this "Brazilians only make 9%" of the playerbase besides out of ya ass. I mean this may be true in other servers like zone or something, But in Classic's case, If you just play the game you should see there is more Brazilians than anything else, Unless you're blind.

And people don't mention Chinese at all because, Well i don't think there even IS chinese people, Can't recall in my entire 6 or so years of playing classic of ever meeting a single chinese person. There may be some but i think that's more so rare than anything. Especially given the Chinese Economy may not even be allowed to get games like Graal classic given the fact you can't really get any app in china that isn't from China, There is a literal chinese version of Facebook because Chinese can't openly get the original facebook in their country. And among other chinese variation of apps made China exclusive.But i don't know how this rules for games like Graal Classic, All i know is they may not even be able to get Graal since they prioritize apps from their country first.
