I am pretty sure I bought gold subscription or whatever it was called for that about 15 years ago. I think it is impossible to figure out what e-mail I had used back then I had to use my newspaper route money xD

I remember if you only played as a trial it wouldn't save any progress you made. In Era though you could store your cash in the atm machines and that would save. The few key things I remember from playing Era back then was that players dropped cash when they died, you had to build a gun before you could buy it and mining seemed to be the best job at the time.

Good to hear that it is actually free now, but the servers look pretty dead. Not that many people still use computers now that everything can be done from a smartphone so it was a great idea to make the ios servers.

Supposedly there is a new client being developed for PC. But I'm not holding my breath. We're still waiting on flying technology.

I think you're missing the point of this thread, it's to raise awareness of the fact that people are playing the arguably inferior version. You have to agree it makes no sense.

Some people just prefer the fact you can just login from a portable device and play with over 100 people at a time

If we could log onto iServers on PC client as players then yeah, that would be the superior option. But that's not happening, so what's the point of the PC client outside of development if you're a player? If maybe ~100 people from the iCommunity spread themselves out on the handful of dead PC servers then we'd be back in business but there's not even a public Classic style server left so good luck with that.

Graal as a handheld, multiplayer game I can play anywhere has been great pocket fun

I never liked PC graal, too many external programs to tempt players into cheating

I would have less disdain for iClassic if it weren't a massively gimped version of the real thing being passed off as the original Classic when it's actually just a poorly reworked copy-paste job which badly represents the original subject material which was not only very good but is a childhood memory I hold dearly.

You have no idea how awesome it was playing the actual Classic/Graal The Adventure server. I played through the entire quest progression and collected almost all items many times. Logging into iClassic for me is a very similar experience to getting slapped in the face.
