Just remove guilds  

Just have people gain points to be in top 32, then organize the brackets at random. No point in boosting then.

kind of a defeated approach, the boosters have won if that's the solution  

Could just make it so the same team can't spar each other again // they have to fight another team before being able to fight the same team again. Kinda sucks though since there's not tons of teams always, only a mediocre solution at best

Then they get crafty and use 2 alt tags to boost their main

Isnt it just randomized, the GS score is only to place.

Too 4 guilds create the 4 gst brackets ( I'm pretty sure ) so guild with the top score faces the 16 lowest scored guilds up u till semis . At least that's how I though it worked that's why tou always see noob guilds try hard boosting for top seed so they don't have to face better guilds until later.

But either points can only help you maybe get to semis but after that it's all pretty much the same, still gonna face good teams , still gonna lose.

Well, it'd slow down boosting a lot since they'd have to leave the room to switch the tags, prolly more people would see it as well  

Just give 1-2 days to gain pts every GST like the previous one lol , it was more competetive and no one can boost it also lowers the average points needed to qualify giving noobs a chance to participate.

Won how? They can no longer fix where they end in the brackets (if they can at all).  

the mind numbingly simple solution is better GPs that monitor this kind of stuff more frequently but that's too big of an ask

it seems like a lot of issues come back to staff not being able to manage stuff....  

Reset the scores a week before gst just like last time

yeah, but you're hurting the integrity of the tournament by doing that
if the two best teams randomly face each other in the first round then you're setting yourself up for a really bad tournament

I think a small fee for changing them would work better.
They could still boost easily with a time limit, just slower paced

A small fee can be very weak in limiting boosting. Let's say the fee was 1k per person changed. Someone who buys a lot of gralats or has lots of gralats or loots a lot for instance this is hardly something to overcome. But not being able to get points without having all the main core on and if changed needed a 6hr time wait until getting points can be a huge cool down in how quick players can get points. For instance if what happened at last GST happened again players would be forced to play with only the main tag. The cool down is too long to wait to gain points.
