To all those who said an apprenticeship worked out for them: What field was this in? I feel like the rewards vary greatly depending on the type of job you're trying to get.

Why not do college first then build up networks through internships? You need a backup plan if this apprenticeship fails anyways.

I'd go with the apprenticeship cuz i mean, colleges just take up more time/costs than the apprenticeship. Besides, u get more hands-on experience for apprenticeship. But hey, its up to you bud, hope ya succeed in accounting! |

I'd say employers would probably be more inclined to employ you if you've got some sort of degree/diploma but apprenticeships are good because you're actually learning on the job, and getting paid aswell, but as like someone else said if you start the apprenticeship and decide you don't like it, it'll be hard to do anything else unless you go back to college.

Have to agree with this, apprenticeships work best for those going into a more 'hands on' career, like building or mechanics. |
