as for the inbetween the legs, i was never the best handles. i played basketball from an age where i was like 5'1, to now. and as I got taller, the inbetween the legs move also got easier. i also got stretched out somewhat and lost a little bit of weight, which also made it easier. if you set an expectation that you'll become stephen curry in a matter of days, that's unrealistic. the best way to get better is to play the game on the court with friends and learn what works best. always flick your wrist on jumpshots, always follow through, etc;. for me, i learned basic dribbling (right hand single dribbling, switching over to left, dribbling a little with left fairly okay, but no behind the back or through the legs.) after that, i hit the court and played. all the practice showed me what worked in my game and what didn't. at such a early stage, it was just a matter of finding what worked best for me and what i felt comfortable doing. easiest way to start off, stand straight up, dribble with your dominant hand steadily, have your knees slightly bent, keep your other hand ready to catch the ball when it returns, angle bounce it so it reaches your other hand, and then bring it back with that hand towards the front. it'll be slow af at first, and you'll have to look down a lot and even turn around to get the ball. |
