sorry to break your bubble guys, but VPNs don't make your internet faster, unless your internet provider is absolutely horrible, any VPN service will limit your performance, especially increase your MS. and I'm not sure if any of you seen droon spar, especially directed at agonee, but he rarely lags and his flag switches pretty randomly - which happened to me twice when it switched to the french flag for a a whole day (even though I went between multiple devices and connections that day) - for no apparent reason.

and it happened to me, so I can say from experience it happens - and definitely isn't caused by an issue with a single device/router or VPN. |

For everyone that still doesn't know the difference between lagging and delaying, lagging is when you have an unstable WiFi connection and most likely warp all around, delaying is when you're WiFi takes longer to reach the server, what makes people that delay harder to spar as well since they've to predict everything while people with less delay has to spar with a higher reaction time(what I prefer). About the flag switching randomly, I'm pretty sure that this isn't coincidence, droon is Defiantly VPNing, you can't tell me that this is a glitch or something, this would be like if Google maps tells you you'd be in France while you're in Germany or whatever. I'm not too sure about this but I think the server can check where someone is from by the IP of the persons WiFi. |

about flags, it happened to me. it literally had my flag stuck for a whole day in two different instances to the french flag, even when I traveled between two cities, switched between my phone and laptop, switched networks throughout the day, and still nothing. obviously I wasn't in france. if you still wanna accuse droon of VPNing, do note that he doesn't lag more than a normal european player who has 200 MS, which is the average connection you're gonna get. people like rexx on the other hand, constantly warp around and are basically unhittable, you just can't compare the two. |

besides, for anyone who's actually interested - you don't have to VPN to change your countries flag without traveling to another country, and normal VPN won't make you noticeably laggier. you have to actually take farther measures to insure you have higher MS. more than that, graal is the only game I've ever encountered where higher MS gives you an ADVANTAGE rather than making the game harder. usually, high MS would mean your actions are being delayed. say, you're in point 0 and move to point 1. it takes the movement command 2 seconds to get to the server, so during those 2 seconds you're still registered in point 0 and everyone will see you in point 0, will be able to swing at point 0 and get a hit on you, while you have yet to react - basically how it works in games like CS:GO, LoL, dota, etc. I honestly would appreciate it if dusty could give some background as to why it works differently in graal. |

I applied during the same hiring cycle when Soren was hired, when Yuri was hired, and then one more time after that. I'm not interested at all anymore now that I've committed to leading a guild.

Hit 20k wins mid December of last year so I may as well have a say in this thread full of broken English and weird information posted by the likes of jimbo and penguin. Sparring has been like this for a good year and a half this isn't a phase this is what sparring is at this current time. The more active American and Canadian based sparrers are either inactive, not playing as of now or just done with sparring. As of now foreign sparrers (europeans, australians, south americans, pinoys) are the main group of people sparring, this isn't a bad thing at all and its stupid to say things like they should be "banned" or "not allowed to spar" (I've seen this said multiple times over the last year and a half) they are keeping sparring relevant and that's a good thing, I don't see any reason for somebody to abuse or slander somebody because they are from overseas and enjoy sparring whether its casually or because they enjoy doing it and it's what they do as main activity. However sparring does currently have an issue where a lot of people have started speeding, health hacking and vpning in order to gain an advantage over others. Not only this but it's sad to see that noob hunting and selective sparring is as common as ever. I've noticed a trend in Brazillian players speeding, I'm not saying it's only them that speed but it is a large group of them that do. Players like Jimbo, Rexxx, Droon, Paz who vpn constantly without punishment as well ruins the experience for a lot of new and veteran players. |

I'm not the racist type but last time i check almost all of them are saltier than LoL players, they also ruined grotto "peaceful" farming etc. Combined with their "i no speak english" attitude and their high "I do everything to win", they're pratically the type whom i don't want to spar/meet with, no seriously, sometimes i don't even know if they're speeding/warping/delaying or all of them at the same time, i've met several of them who use health hacking (albeit they could do it almost unnoticeable since they usually just reset it from 0.5 to 1.0) but yes, i do believe that using VPN is cheating (if you're americans since for godsake youre near the server) but for us, foreigners, sometimes its better to use VPN to make graal "less-lagging" I do a bit jealous the fact you guys got no lag since you're close to the server.. grr.. |
