Pyrat quest was substituted with contracts for various bounties e.g. kill 75 pyrats, kill 50 lizardons. Not very sure if the reward is still the same but this has helped to spread out the players and makes it much easier to complete the quest compared to the ridiculous crowd at pyrat bay in the past. Hopefully this will also reduce the number of players complaining about others stealing pyrats or other baddies

The reward for lizardons should be tweaked... or the required number taken down by like 1/2... took a loooooong time to kill 50, and 1000 gralats seemed to be a pittance.  

I took the contract to kill 100 rats, i killed 25 rats in around an hour and decided to take a break because it was taking way too long with around 10 other people doing the same contract at the same time. I came back on the game around 2 hours later, a message appeared saying that my contract had expired when it should have 20+ hours left, i couldn't get another contract from the Royal Steward.

Yes but before It took 15 minutes to complete the mission of the pirates now it akes about 40 minutes to complete this new quest, and even more that pkers take advantage of the ease of people doing quest in the swamp to win kills more easily, and this ends up messing up , ithink they should make unable to pk in the bounty quests areas like they did on pyrat bay for the sake of people doing the quest.

Yeah, I can see what you mean in terms of duration taken. The same reward for different types of baddies can act as a deterrence if the player gets lizardons or any other baddies which may require more effort.

Disabling PK in all areas with baddies that are included within bounties does seem rather unrealistic for areas such as swamp town. If it is for smaller areas such as the mountains however that would be rather nice.

Dusty already said that he'll be adding more areas for the baddies being requested. They just didn't have enough time to implement it.  

Could admins add a new area where there are the rebel baddies? Theres like 5 in total and its one of the bounties, theres alot of people where they spawn.

The issue that I faced fighting lizardons was primarily other players 'stealing' the last hit on the baddies and not the difficulty of the baddies themselves. Though the baddies take more hits to kill, fighting 50 of them took an hour and a half because there were ten or fifteen other players crammed into a small area all competing for the limited number of kills.

There are certainly a number of locations in the railway tunnels that could be opened up with a cleverly placed door, or even just populated with enemies

I had the same issue. People kept on getting the last hits, even when they didn't have the quest.

It took me around 40 or 50 minutes to complete it.

For those of you who got the regular baddies as their target, could you kill them in Balamb island?

Tomorrow(or over the course of a few days) I plan to expand and add lots of more areas for baddy killing to help facilitate the demand the bounty system is bringing.

I know it's a bit of an inconvenience so I apologize, there's just no way it can be done today.

These could maybe be some good spots:

Nafet's River Shop beside Castle


On the way to Swamp


Bottom of Swamp


They could be turned into underground dungeon-like levels that are infested with baddies with the King's Guard stationed outside saying it's been opened up since the King started the bounty system or something of the sorts, been there for years and has no use to my knowledge unless there is something planned for them, just an idea though
