Xmas Gifts
About 75% of graalians' gifts are gralats or food. Seriously, gifts are worth 700 gralats, and 700 gralats were spent to give us about 100-500 gralats or 3 foods worth about 90 gralats? Shouldn't the quantity of the gralats and foods be worth about 700 gralats??? Won't really complain much about the hats, morphs, and other cool things. Just my opinion, tell me what you guys think.

MATHS TIME I've been wondering this for a while too. I had 252 gifts. Gifts are 700 each, total gralat expenditure was 176,400. I got 9 mounts, 8 juggles, 1 morph, 1 umbrella, 48 hats and 55k (sold furniture too). CALCULATIONS These prices have been taken from current prices and previous prices. Please take into account that everything received from gifts is luck based and not necessarily what the player wants to have - so that plays a factor in the overall worth of the items. Keep in mind, these are just rough predictions and really only apply to those who get >10 gifts. Mounts (Average mount prices are based on mounts from previous holidays and stables). Average price of a mount is $7,000 (7,000x9=$63,000). Mounts equate to roughly ~33.33% of total gralats spent. Hats (Average hat prices taken from current hats in Nafet's River Hat Shop). Average hat price is $4,211.11 (4,211.11x48=$202,133.28). Hats equate to more than total gralat expenditure, ~115%. Juggles (Average juggle prices taken from Nexus' and previous holidays). Average juggle price is $2,500 (2,500x8=$20,000). Juggles equate to roughly ~13% of total gralat expenditure. Morphs (Average morph price is taken from Nexu's and previous holidays). Average morph price is $8,000 (8,000x1=$8,000). Morphs equation to roughly ~5% of total gralat expenditure. Umbrellas N/A, have never been sold for gralats. Furniture and gralats I got back roughly ~$55,000 back from selling furniture and getting gralats from gifts. It's also important to note that furniture sells for half the original price, so the furniture and gralats added up together would be ~$110,000. However, I'm only taking the first number of $55,000 and using that in calculations. TOTAL WORTH 63,000 + 8,000 + 20,000 + 202,133.28 + 55,000 = $348,133.28 Profit: 348,133.28 - 176,400 = $171,733.28 FINAL VERDICT Overall, I spent $176,400 and made back roughly $171,733.28 worth of items and gralats. I essentially earnt back what I spent. Please note, that this does not include food so I assume if you added that up you'd be pretty much bang on how much you spent. So yes, they are worth it in my opinion, however, the item values are a bit tricky because the player cannot choose if they want the hat or not - 700 is a fair price for a gift. |

I don't really mind them tbh cause I was already expecting the food/gralats due to previous years. The only thing that I saw that was kinda ehh, was getting every recolor of the dino mount.. Wish they would've somehow lower our chances of getting different colors of the same mounts if we've already gotten more than 1-2 colors. Or just make less recolors of items that currently have 4-5+ recolors. Just my opinion on the xmas gifts! Either way, you could always sell the furniture that you got from the event lol! Most of them are decently priced .

i spent i think 40k on presents, got about 10 hats out of 150 gifts and sold all the furniture and ended with 27k. So I guess I made out pretty well, 1.3k each for 10 hats. Only ever gunna wear the backwards cap but w/e pretty cheap for hats.

Randomness could account for a lot of problems. A larger sample rate (other than just one person's expenditure vs the average prices) may provide more insight, but good work crunching them maths. A ton of food was handed out... but overall I felt pretty well about the stuff I got with ~50 gifts total. Still wish there was a little more control over the hat vs object collection... |
