Oh my. If there's one complaint I'm seeing from people it's the lack of guns..It's WW1. I feel the amount of guns is pretty neat for release and fun to use. The game HAS longevity. I barely see people complaining about lack of guns and actually loving the amount that is in the game. If you want guns just play BF4..Like BF1 really is an amazing BF game and comparing it to BF4 (which had a lot of weapons people even barely used) content is not even worth it. Even BF3 at it's start didn't have a lot of weapons like come on now..

????????? What do you mean BF3 didn't have many guns. BF3 had 49 guns (Not including DLC guns), and each were different and you didn't have all of them unlocked right away so it took awhile to get them all.

BF1 has roughly 32 unique guns (Couldn't add them all up since I wasn't sure which secondaries were the pilot ones) however several of those guns are blocked off from use unless you play as the pilot/ cavalry class so they don't really count since you can't use it whenever you want and use of it is very limited.

What is the longevity you think it has? Because unlocks are what adds longevity as it gives replay value.

As I said I expected there should have at least been more camos/ player customisation to make up for the lack of guns. Which there is next to none of

Maybe your definition and my definition of longitivity are different things. I see longitivity in this gem because of the fun factor, not how many guns it has. The game is overall really fun and I commend DICE for what guns they put into the game. Not so many but just the right amount. Sure the variants with just a scope or exteneded mag is a bit stupid but you're talking like it's just one gun to use mainly per class each time you play.

If your longevity of a game is determined by unlocks, then go play COD. They have a **** load of unlocks that will last you your entire life. You'll never have to buy another game again. I play multiplayer FPS games for the gameplay. The fun isn't in unlocking something new for the rest of your life. Yes, unlocking things is a good temporary/beginning goal, but you can't and shouldn't depend on that to keep the game fun after the first month. What makes it good is its gameplay, its maps, game modes, etc. It's pretty nice tbh knowing that you're on a fairly equally level with everyone else, no matter when you start. The advantage for experienced players is knowing strategies, locations on the map, etc. Also, as Supah said, it's WWI. You can't seriously expect a **** load of guns or attachments. Loads of skins could also completely ruin BF1's whole theme. It tries to look authentic to its time period. Sure, it could have more and still work, but it doesn't seem like it needs it. You know the game's bad when the only incentive to play is to unlock a new gun skin...

Not too pleased with battlefield 1 to be honest. I see why people enjoy playing it, but i see too much battlefront 1 in it, and i hated battlefront 1 (EA version.)

Aha it's a gadget for medic. Should unlock it cause blowing up campers with the rifle grenade is fun fun fun.

So I played BF1 today. The beginning of the campaign was amazing. Very good writing for it. During multiplayer, my framerate chuggs fairly often (Xbox One) and I've noticed a glitch or 2, but I didn't expect it to be perfect on release. I'm getting utterly clobbered since I have no idea about the map setups, but I've been having fun. I'd have to say my favorite map of the ~5 I've played is the beach map.

The cigriotti or whatever that starting medic gun is called is stupidly OP. You cannot win against it up close- medium 1 on 1 and that's from personal use and from getting killed by it.
Doesn't matter it has a bad reload its still way too strong. My k/d is 3 minimum whenever I use it

Now level 42 with everything unlocked but the medic rank 10 gun which i'm rank 8 for. Not really going for it since the gun is terrible. Don't really see the point of ranking up still when you don't unlock anything from it

Only thing that's going to keep me playing is my bad luck. Just want the gold bar skin, gotten 5 of the extinguished pistols, 2 melee puzzle pieces and 4 of the mandragora extinguished skins, no BAR.

I love operations but it seems nearly impossible if you're the attacker. Never once won a match while attacking.
