The guy was trying to make a point by saying you could be autistic since people with autism don't interpret emotions the way most people do.

Some are either extremely emotional and react strongly to things or don't and are just awkward husks.

Obviously you and Piggy didn't know this and just took it personally like somebody who is triggered would.
