Indeed it is. I find it rather irresponsible for Erdogan to ask civilians to flood the streets and protest while the military goes around with tanks, helicopters and even jets. The military has said they wish to avoid civilian casualties but I can't really see that happening in this mess. Honestly not sure who to side with on this one. EDIT: Ok so apparently Erdogan is flying to England after Germany refused his asylum requests (LMAO). |

There really isn't much info about how things are going for either side but its pretty obvious that the situation isn't very safe. ![]() Here's an image of airlines trying to steer clear of all of ****ing Turkey after news of the coup. |

Yeah bout a decade or two seems to be the trend. Who knows, maybe we'll all witness another coup in Turkey in the future. |

Inb4 someone mentions the insanity of the event in Nice, France. Some seriously sick irony. |

Turkey was already on a slippery slope towards islamic extremism and this will only accelerate it. Turkey under Erdogan's presidency supported ISIS, bombed the Kurdish and slowly shifted towards Sharia Law. He attempted to change the Constitution to remove secularism from it and bring all power to the executive branch of his government , or in other words himself. Now with the coup failing, I can easily foresee the hanging of secular soldiers with them being replaced by other extremists like himself. Turkey will truly be an Islamic State of nothing is done about him and the fanatics that voted him in.

its not shocking, this happens once every 10 years the military involved with the coup want to make sure the government is secular. i dont think much will come out of this other than needless civilian deaths. the military itself is split so not all of them are involved. |
