Some more questions. Can gp staff go off map anytime, or is the only exception when they need to ban a hacker who is snooping around in unreleased content? And are they allowed to do giveaways outside of events or can they do giveaways during event without it being a hat or having to compete for it?

your job is to monitor the game, not hosting a lot of events. you can only host when there are at least more than at least 3 other GP members online monitoring the game for you while you host, but i doubt that.

There are limits on events to prevent them from being clustered, and so there are GPs patrolling the map and reviewing reports.

There's no such thing as off map. Just a bunch of water.

The only way a GP is a allowed to reward items is when a player wins an event.

I know eventually just water but there are still hackers that go past boundaries. Like where you can step on warps. There are also areas above mod town and all that stuff technically "off map" or at least outside of the usually accessible areas.

Lol I guess there's a reason why events are barely hosted! Sorry for all the questions but I wanted to know these things ahead of time before I possibly get hired, just in case I do someday. These are great answers though.

Can GP go offmap:
Well, there are NOTHING offmap so i dont see the point, but yeah, sure... you got boots and all. If the only reason you want to become a gp is to explore the "offmap" areas then you're better off playing Graal Reborn's Classic Adventure since iClassic's map is based off of that and it has all the content iClassic's map cut out.

No. If they could do that, the GP applications wouldn't be that easy to apply.

I suppose anything that important that could easily be hacked to would not be in the main server and would be on the test server untill a few weeks before it's released.

Does it have to be hats (I think most of them are old hats) or can they be old morphs and mounts too?

Yes. Any upcoming release areas will be stored in iClassic's dev server. (at least that's what they did on iZone as far as I remember.)  

And gp doesn't have access to it I assume? Since its a dev server im guessing it's for level designers, especially since GP don't really act like they seem to know that much about unreleased content, and they might not be trusted since some of them don't even have the job for too long. And their job isn't about new content it's about keeping the game a safe environment.

And this thread is now dead... jk ill probably wake up and see a few replies.

Unstealthing is fine as long are you aren't flaunting any powers or a staff tag, but it can still attract a lot of attention while your job is to moderate the game, not interact with players.

The only exception to using staff tools unstealthed is while you're hosting an event.

i feel like thats wrong, there should be more interaction to let the player know that they are there for them.  

staff doesn't need to interact with the players unless there is a event going on or if there is a bug to report and they do not need to be proven that they are there for the players.

if anything, the more staff interact with the players, the less players interact with the players themself and this has been proven from certain servers because players prefer getting closer to staff over players expecting benefits

some players have recieved benefits from trying hard to interact with players recieving hats and such for example, i dislike the suggestion for this reason.

the community should interact with each other, not the other way around (players ignoring players and trying to reach staff is a big NO NO)

That's called community policing.  

So you realise your chances for getting hired are like nothing right?
Just being realistic if you have ever been banned even by accident you will not be hired on classic.

its easier to become moderator of the other servers like izone or ol west due to smaller playerbases and the fact that they are newer and less respected.
