Well, it just happened.

Marriage has just been officially updated in Graal Classic... However, it lacks on just three things

1. The fact that the "Married to" part is not on the profile card or the status. Its considered another guild-like tag.. Which kind of feels disappointing to me because my guild tag could overload my name to make the marriage tag unable to show..

2. No Divorces... Why would you make Marriages without Divorces? ._. i thought this was implemented already..

3. After the propose part, the door is completely shut for a random set of minutes and the married couple cannot get out or get in... Fix it please

But its good to see Marriage has arrived in Graal x3  

I dislike how you propose to people. Let's say that I wanted to be romantic about things; I take my Burger Refuge girl to deadwood, sit on the cliffs, and we watch the stars go by. I decide it's finally the moment to pop the question, but wait, that means I've got to unstick and go to a church in order to propose. Kinda breaks up the whole thing I had going on, and what if she says no?

You should have had to purchase a wedding ring from the unused blacksmith at Snow Town. When you had a ring, then the profile option for proposing would have appeared, and you could pop the question anywhere, meaning you can be as romantic as you can! Could have even thrown some gani animations in there for good immersion.

i agree.. this needs to be the case... + guild house marriage, was like the best part of of cyber marriage before this update. the getting married in the chapel part makes sense but is not pristine enough to have only invited guests and a half decent reception. like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oYem...eature=related

This would be awesome and would do some things easier  

Who you're married to definitely needs to be placed elsewhere. You can barely see it when people have guild tags and such on:

Either that or make players' names automatically scroll at times.

This would probably be the best alternative in my opinion. Seems easy enough to script for someone with experience (which I don't), so I hope to see this idea gone through with.  

I'll post here and just ignore the other threads ('my thoughts on marriage' does not need your own thread )

So!

First off: the reason the (married to: ) is where it is - there's no where else to put it on the current status page. Originally, I wanted to add a 'Next Page' to status so could easily fit it in but that idea wasn't liked . Will keep trying though because yes: it's not a good spot.

Queues- I don't think this is going to be needed in three days. A rush at the moment but I think that will die down quickly enough. It wouldn't be too hard at all to bolt-on a queue system but not a priority right now.

Propose anywhere! - Ideally, yes this would be nice. Can buy a ring which would add canwed to your account which will allow you to do it anywhere. Right now, the system is just meant to be simple enough without adding extra stages. In the future, can look at this but again: not a priority.

Divorces - Originally this was going to be so easy. But then I had a nice thought. If both players are online or just one: it works very easily. If one player is on Classic iPhone and another on Facebook? **** catches on fire (it's to do with writing an account file on one server only to be erased by the other server syncing their copy). I realise this would be such a rare occurrence but just need to put up a lot more fail safes than originally planned. It will come though (I think you should only be allowed to divorce after 3-5 days or so just to teach a lesson!)

Not sure what else but I'll keep a watch here.

I think I've made it pretty obvious in the image. The profile would essentially be split into two parts, one that you can scroll, one that you can't. The appearance of the profiles would stay the same, but could easily have additional statistics and information on the player without polluting the screen.

That's an awesome idea Rufus! If they did that, they could add options to show more stats. I made a thread about that awhile ago; http://www.graalians.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1778. This would work nicely with the scrolling option.  

Could we have an option to allow our partner to edit our houses and guildhouses? Would be quite a nice thing. Also quite annoying when you are getting married and all you can see is a bunch of random people screaming at you to "hurry up!"

Why not plan your wedding a week or two later, after the majority of the server is already married, and the rush to get married dies down?

remove the guild tag of your wife/husband in your marriage tag it looks stupid or have an option for it if people like it there
