I don't see a problem with your BMI as long as your weight has been consistent through out the years. If you really want to work out, I suggest going by your body fat percentage rather than body mass index. Also from my experience, dieting is probably the least helpful way to lose weight. If you're just trying to be healthier, try eating PFC balanced meals(like the others have suggested) rather than limiting yourself to calories. Working out & eating right should be something you enjoy so just try to do what you like otherwise you'll just end up giving up on it. The only tip I can give you is to change up your routine. Walking is fine, but don't try to speed walk everyday just because you want to lose weight. Change it up, and try other light/moderate activities once in awhile too ![]() |

Tbh I enjoy walking/jogging a lot, so it's easy for me to exercise. I'm a **** eater so eating healthy is a problem for me, but I'm incorporating more fruits/veggies into my diet and cutting out things like sodas and candy. Thank you for your advice!!! <3 |

Still 6"7 and 145 pounds. I used to be very concerned with my weight, not as much anymore though. I eat enough, probably 4 meals a day. Considering im mostly a runner my weight works well for me, still have been told I should gain weight though. Not sure I could gain weight if I tried. oh, and Mangsi, While I shouldn't(and can't) give out advice about eating do's and Dont's, if you run a lot, make sure to bike or do some knee strengthening exercises. You don't have to, but just pay attention to your knee health! Chances are you'll be fine now, but you wanna treat your knees right either way. |

i was gonna chime in and give advice but i dont know enough to try to tell a 13 year old what's good/bad. i also dont know if you're a boy or a girl, which does change things. all i can say is that BMI is bull**** and shouldn't really be used. go by what you see in the mirror imo, unless your doctor has a way of measuring bodyfat %. |
