I'm not telling anyone to stop playing. I'm the one busting my ass off to get 2 GST hats done in just one day only to have every player **** all over them

I'm telling them that being entitled to an opinion is totally fine, but an opinion is an opinion.

I don't even get the point of you guys wanting custom hats for GST. You say you don't want to tower because you won't receive as good as a reward, but you're wanting the exact same reward.

I rarely reference Goten as the voice of rationality and practical solutions, but he's 100% right in this case. Making a few quality hats for the (I'll say it again) hardest thing to achieve in this game should not be this difficult for GFX admins.

It's basically the general consensus in the spar community that GST hats are pretty bad most of the time.
The easiest and best solution to this problem is to let first place upload whatever hat they want.
Not every skilled player on this game has a thousand hours to spend defending a tower.

Not knocking the guild or Thallen, the tier of skill within that guild they deserve every reward they get, but the fact its 1 guild winning most GSTs doesn't seem worth it, and I feel like if this was implemented, the majority of 'the best' would float towards Alumni for the sake of a free hat rather than spread into their own guilds.

Towering is longer and way less skill based, but at least its accessible by everyone.

Tbh I'd be down to just scrap the hats all together or put them in the mystery boxes/shelves for players that make it past round 1 and the winners get the belts, from what I see none of the winners really wear the hats, and its the same ones that win so they just end up forming a collection. The winners get to be on those statues/have their names in a book in the library.

Gonna just go right ahead and call you out on a few things old buddy old pal...Alumni are close to their quitting point of 12 wins, Now is the perfect time to implement this kind of reward because this tournament held once every 3 months is quite literally the only skill based event that happens to take place on this server and the rewards? Are literal garbage! How is it fair that a guild that has proven themselves as THE BEST of THE BEST get a hat thats literally head1.png slapped onto a template and uploaded as a reward hat...

These gfx staff have gone beyond a joke lmao Leah was once a nice person who'd do anyone a favor if it was reasonable and has turned herself and this joke of a staff team into some kind of disgusting crap that does nothing but complain about all the effort needed to make these hats. If you can't handle the pressure then why the **** did you apply for the position

I don't see the point in staff taking their time to make a quality hat, just to have the players want to edit it. If that was the case, they might as well actually submit their own upload.

Are you ****ing ******ed, If I wanted that sword I can upload it any time I want. I'm in strong contention to win a hat pretty much every gst since I placed 2nd and I can tell you right now people like me, Thallen, David, Dae, Goten and Fulgore should be the ones talking about the prize they want.

Some people think there is absolutely 0 effort put into winning a GST when you're in Alumni and that just isn't true.
We don't deserve a good reward because we're good at sparring? That's a first.
Like Red said, we're very close to retiring so I have very little to gain from this personally, I just feel like the prize should reflect the difficulty of the achievement.

Are you kidding me Yog I thought you were a lot smarter then this. 1k's take no skill based activity and 10 times out of 10 end up with a guild holding sards or deadwood to 1k trucing every guild on the map and being pked once or twice every 3 hours by 2 people while they have 14+ people on.

A GST is held once every 3 months and takes actual skill to participate and be successful in, The reward is a disgrace. A terrible hat that does not even match the theme for a tournament based on the concept of combat.

This graphics team is some kind of sick joke lmao its not hard to pump out 6 hats in a week spilt between 10+ people and yami, We'll never see GOOD hats because anyone who does make good graphics has 1 stupid ban or warning for something small and once XOR sees that their application isn't even looked at any further.

The system used to recruit these staff members is flawed so badly they listen to community feedback agree to improve upon things and manage to make **** worse.

Precisely, these staff members have never won a gst and have no clue as to how hard it is to even make it past round 1 for some people and their guilds.

Most of these guys have never even sparred or stepped outside of graal bank or battle arena lobby I can guarantee you that.

Lol. As far as I'm concerned, you're a pissed, emotional child who didn't use any thought when making your post. I played Classic for years. I participated in many GSTs myself. I led multiple guilds on FB Server and multiple guilds on iPhone server. Instead of acting like a 7 year old brat, try acting like you have a brain and dignity in your posts. You obviously are clueless about me, yet want to think you know it all. Sorry to tell ya, but you don't. I couldn't care less if you disagree with my opinion, but you're obviously very emotional that you stooped as low as you did because you disliked my opinion. As I said before, if you can upload that sword on iClassc (or any sword similar to that) I'll admit I'm wrong. The truth is you can't. Swords are limited to a small template that can't go that high. You also can't equip them, so they're only seen when you actually slash. Get over yourself child. I do know what I'm talking about, and that's actually the reason you're probably so pissed, since you have no good reasoning to counter mine. I look at each idea from a player and a staff position now, and while from a player perspective it's a good idea, but it's also a good idea to add 100k gralats to everyone from a player perspective. From a staff perspective, this isn't the best idea.

If it's too hard to handle to make a hat that doesn't look like a pile of ****** then why not allow edits or GST have their own hats uploaded...Simple...there's nothing to argue.

I wanna watch what I say here because some of it may not be right or accurate, but most of it is just my opinion/what I assume.

Yeah fair enough, again nothing against Thallen or the whole guild because I know that Alumni isn't a guild that just bundles a team together, they're actually a proper guild.

Maybe it's a good thing here I don't spar because I see it from a different perspective, and the fact is the current 'meta' for lack of a better word is that Alumni win constantly, and if not, most of the time they do most of the time anyway.

It's completely unfair to you guys to say 'It will only be considered if you guys retire' whether you do or not thats up to you guys and not for the sake of this. Though I assume if you do it's been planned for a long time anyway.

I feel like if its not an anbu mask or wings, the hat sucks. Maybe i'm wrong, but honestly I don't see that mentality changing because its been that way for so long, so I'd be more inclined to scrap the hats as rewards or rather, just have them in the mystery gifts, and have a more 'appropriate reward' for the winners (trophy furniture + belt gani?)

I suppose there's nobody to blame except the team for the quality, though from a graphics standpoint most of them can be considered well made. Again it's down to taste though, and clearly the taste isn't good for you guys. I believe we once tried down to go down the 'easy' route and make things that were preferred, but it wasn't allowed, which is why the team always try and make something new.

I'm sure others on the team have different opinions, and if they want they can reply with theirs. But ya I feel like we're just going in circles with this, every GST the same thread gets made and we always say no worries, we'll try harder next time/bring something new, but it clearly doesn't work.

I voted no because I don't like the idea of 6 guilds a season editing the hats they receive. However, Fp4 or Leah should allow Alumni to edit their next hat if they win mixed. x (6?) wins in a row deserves such a minimal and effortless request

Yeah, it's because everytime any of us saw you in GST threads you actually were taking all the criticisms on board and wanted to provide good hats for the spar community, unfortunately all the other admins just like to provide excuses that are just ******ed or just straight up ignore us...


Side note: Anyone realise one of the best gst hats in recent times was from Yami...someone who actually cares about sparring and gst...We need more people like that making the gst hats...but the admins most likely won't hire them hence why the only solution is to allow guilds to upload their own hats.

If you want this issue solved make Leah get a forum account or use the one she owns if she happens to own one. Get her to read some of the suggestions because I'm sure it's quite clear her involvement plays a big part in what goes in terms of gst hats.

I don't understand how hard it can be for staff to make 6 hats 1 month before the tournament, the reality is it isn't and it's just an excuse for these Noobs to spend time afk in the battle arena, if you can't handle the pressure don't apply for the position it's as easy as that. There is no excuse. "Why don't you apply and do it then" isn't a valid argument either because most of us have a ban history or 1 silly warning that immediately looks like **** on your application.
