There are a lot of things that bother me about the current basing strategies and the fact is that there lots of strategical items that have not been yet introduced to the game here are some of my ideas on the much-needed additions 1.Barricades 2. Hotkey Firemaking 3. Healing staffs 4. New form of explosives 5. Sniper rifles can go through most walls for the most part 6. A gas that slows,hurts, and confuses people

For barricades we would use sand bags which would be crafted with cloth from farming and sand from digging you could improve the durability by adding iron diamonds etc

For gas there would be coal bombs which would slow down enemies Crafted from coal and cloth

I love it how you completely forgot about woodcutting, when you can use the logs for barricades. Adding gas would make this game like era.  

Honestly I wanted to diversify a little on the materials since woodcutting would already be used for many other crafting recipes, Although I kinda did like where you were going with that. The main intention with both coal bombs and barricades would be to prevent rushing the flag from happening as often. Also I was meaning more that coal bombs would only slow you down in the immediate vicinity, so no it would not be like era.

True, woodcutting is used for everything but not many people woodcuts. A coal bomb would be a good defensive weapon, how I would see it is that it will cause a temporary blindness to the players that are hit by this bomb(though I can see the rage if this were to happen) for the players that didn't get hit will just see a smoke screen like thing surrounding an area.(maybe if a player enters the smoke= temporary blindness as well?)

You can put a black image on the screen like the jumpscare from graaloween 2015, but what I imagine as the blindness is a black screen that slowly fades away or can only see yourself like when you started the graaloween sherrif quest where you can hardly see anything in the background.  

Since in fire making we can't use fossil logs, why not use fossil fire like a poison de buff(cuz carbon monoxide/dioxide), it only affects enemy gangs.  

wait you want guns that shoot through walls and you cant be hurt by incoming bullets
