Also if it only streamed every 3 months or so that hurts viewership. Should look at it at we would like to stream for fun first and if you manage to get any success out of it then its a plus. I think its a good idea to improve gst experience but shutting down server parts/outrageous dream numbers are out of the question. Just do it for fun for now and youll find out quick about how hard it really is to build an audience with a $0 budget.

This would be nice if the current server condition were better however staff could either record from the level or summon a designated recorder to the level before the matches. Might be a little complicated sure but at the end someone like James205 or Droid could edit them all into a sweet video with their creative brilliance... and then even stream it live who knows. I just mean this would look cleaner for viewers... |

Equipment dedicated to streaming, for success you'll probably want to invest into good mics if live audio, simple pa to control levels live, really good internet at all times, good pc... mobile devices? For graal would you be streaming from mobile? Another good idea is you can use obs to stream obvious but its a good idea to invest into tv tuners so you can record from virtually any device since obs is for pcs and macs. Thats for 1 individual. Lets not forget time... if we are talking semi successful it still takes dedicated time to market and build the audience which is probably the #1 thing that makes people quit when they realize how much work it is. Its pretty easy to lose viewership if you go inactive or just have someone streaming who is boring... not to mention graal isnt the most exciting game. If not planning for success just for fun then just yolo it which is what i recommend.

With this way of thinking, if Graal at the very least put a link in the News directing to the streamers channel, then it would be a very good start. To build an audience we need to try it to actually get the ball rolling! |

@james Obs is good, but if someone really wants to do their stream professionally xsplit is highly recommended. You do not have to stream a competition for your game all the time, vainglory does not do this. Plus if graal has it's players having their own personal (maybe daily) streams, then it would keep graal on the list, instead of having no one play "that one game". Games that I see are almost always(imo) streaming competitions are cs go, and the popular mobas. Vainglory as a successful MOBILE moba, pulls in a lot of viewers. Not 80k, but it's still impressive for a game that started in 2014, started streaming in 2015, and it's a mobile game. People like to see companies' dedications involving their games. Once a community see how much a company cares about their game, they start to invest more time in it, because they see that "it matters". But, if Eurocenter were to have thought, "eh, idk. We don't really have that many players. Our staff aren't really the best out there. I don't think we will even make 1,000 players. Maybe graal was a bad investment." Do you think they would have been here now? Maybe I'm just making too much of a motivational speech, but man, you have to be positive when you are running a business. Always thinking of "what-ifs", and never taking action will get you nowhere. Anyways here is a more detailed list of what you could use for a better channel. http://www.streambig.net/stream-big/streaming-equipment That being said, there are also ways for other users to be involved in the same stream, making it capable of changing from one arena view to another. Highlighting important parts of the matches (by using slowmo effects), having a camera man with a studio room for the commentators (maybe they can just use skype, but it would be less professional). |

Era staffs live streamed their annual GST. They had about 250 viewers on the Twitch. They posted that video on Youtube and got 10k views.

All I would ask is if you did get success... why the hell would you put all that effort in for Graal? If you are able to build an audience successfully then you could easily land a really good job that actually pays. I've said it's a good idea to stream but a lot of your ideas are unrealistic. You're using 1 example of a game that is by far more modern than Graal and probably has actual competent management behind it. What will dictate your audience is going to be how reliable the stream is and how entertaining it is. I say yolo it at first and see how it goes before you talk about making it a successful thing.

I say do the twitch thing, see how it goes. I'll definitely be tuning in. I also wish I could record all of GST (like in the rooms) so I could make some great quality produced videos (like the TA tournament videos I have done). I'll only do it if an admin would let me into the rooms and just sit in there and record each match. |

Even if you got 4-5k views from this and the server population increased dramatically after #1. graal tutorial needs worked on a bit, most new players after a day quit usually from not knowing wtf to do. #2. This is risky and sometimes risk is good sometimes its not you may think one day unix doesn't make enough money for 500 loafs of bread like they do everyday isn't that bad but it is to a business point. #3. Graal cant hold 5k people without lagging horrifically now how the hell will it be able to get even 1k more especially knowing unix who will wait 5 months after majority of the server is complaining for a server upgrade |

James is right in this situation, unless a miracle happens graal wouldn't even pull 200 viewers let alone 150. What people like droid, jami and jeffy don't apparently see is that "graal tube" is the same as an any amateur video uploader in that they'll never grow when they produce the same content every time something happens. No one is really that interested in sitting down and watching 1 player out of 8000-10000+ talk about a hat. Yea cool you have maybe 100-500 subs but what you're failing to see is that graal is a game that lacks content, there really isn't anyone knowledgable that uploads content besides droid! Why would I sit there for 8 minutes listening to Jeffy say rebellious or sage is winning this gst when they aren't even participating or clearly don't have a chance. Unless graal advertise this for weeks it won't work as the playerbase is way to young to understand how to use a streaming website and in its current state iGraal won't pull any viewers, Unixmad defiantly won't allow the server to drop below 2.5k players lol. What a lot of you fail to see is the amount of money unix would lose and he most certainly won't allow that. tl;dr No shots fired at droid or any other "graal tuber" but all of your videos are the same concept and streaming a gst won't pull you 4k-5k viewers.

For, I don't think that I am interesting enough to keep a commentary going for a couple of hours. I would recommend jeffy and bancho, since they are more hyped up in their commentaries. |
