I do that a lot ;-;.  

You definitely should be more reserved than aggressive about it; that is, you like her, but you don't "care". I get weirded out when people make passes at me or have attractions and creep around like snakes or get all up in my face like it's do or die in the relationship. If you respect her, you'll respect yourself, and just let it be; you can make it obvious with time
Sometimes with hormones (it literally doesn't matter what age you are; the flutters affect everyone, so it's not some pre*****cent flaw) we may find it difficult to conceal. I think it's okay to be flirtatious then, and standoffish with such behavior if she doesn't respond or makes it obvious she is uncomfortable.

Probably is gonna be the most uncomfortable way for you, but its also the most straightforward and you won't have to worry about any bull**** where she isn't clear on how you feel.  

just tell her

it's probably gonna be weird for you but that's how I would go about it

also try and see if she gives you any hints that she might feel the same, if she does then it might make telling her a lot easier  

Women like men with confidence, go for it and stop asking others what you should do when it's YOU that have to decide on what to say or do.

This but instead of saying date I usually just aim for something more casual and specific like asking her if she wants to go the movies or eat out, date works too but I'm guessing you're in high school and so is she so I think the more casual the better.

After awhile I started to make sure I'd mention that its a date; really awkward when you don't make that clear and she thinks you are hanging out as friends.  

Accidentally trip into her and grab her boobs … Then say, "I'm hungry. Let's get dinner."
