| The West had a reformation, scientific revolution, enlightenment, etc. Eventually, I hope it will progress to the point where being religious in the West puts you in the minority. The Christian Crusades happened 1000 years ago. It's 2016 and loyal followers of Islam still follow every word of their book to the point that they will backpack a bomb to kill themselves and non-believers in the name of their belief. In the West, the religious pay attention only to the convenient verses about peace and love that suit us and how we run our societies. Islam has no such luxury. The Quran is the infallible word of their god. Until they are open to interpreting it rather than obeying every word, they are ****ed. |

But since when have ALL religions ever killed in the name of their god? Pretty sure you need to specify 'white people' a bit more. Its the jews who have had it worse. Think you need to re-read my post, I said that in a nutshell, you shouldn't judge said religion on what their bible or Qur'an or holy books state. Just because it states something what seems impossible, doesn't mean it cannot be true. Learn to read thanks.

I didn't read James and the Giant Peach and go out and try to live in a ****ing oversized fruit. I didn't read the Harry Potter series and shove a broomstick up my ass and run around the house. I'd be an idiot if I did, right? So, why should anyone be excused for following the equally-as-stupid nonsense written in the Bible or Quran?

3:56, and 3:151 are talking about punishment in the afterlife for unbelievers. If you don’t believe in the Islamic account of Hell, not much to worry about, is there? If you would take the time to read the whole event,a group of people would come to the mountains at the brink of dawn to get them food, clothes and other stuff.(btw, living for 3 days without food or water is possible)

 | lol no it isn't. it's generally harmless beliefs that make it easy to spread some basic ethics and moraility, along with some mythology and such. abrahamic religions are just a special case because they became so big and powerful. they snowballed out of control and society is just now beginning to break away from it. they will die off in another millennium. @thallen i cringe everytime someone brings up the crusades, as if it justifies what idiots do/believe in modern times. |

 | Friday 13th France Terrorist Attacks
Why should you believe in Science if all you have is books and peoples say? Science is written down in books just like religion...those books are supposed evidence just like a book is to science dimwit. Big difference in that of a bible or Qu'ran and that of a Roahl Dahl book. Let me tell you something you idiotic snob. People believing in a religion affects you in no way, so you SHOULD NOT be judging people by what they believe...should i judge you for believing in science? No. Do I? No. Perhaps I should judge you on your short minded intellect. You don't judge people because of their race or sexuality (Unless your even more of a snob than first thought.) Pretty sure YOU wouldn't like it if you believed in something and people were throwing crude remarks and not letting you believe in it. Let people believe in something, pretty sure you believe in things also? Like 9/11 was done by terrorists? Ignorance is bliss sometimes.

Science can be proven. Or rather, it HAS been proven and will continue to be proven until we're all dead.

 | Do you at least understand why non-Muslims have these views on Islam? It is not only from misunderstanding the holy books. No where in the world today is there any other religion in which people of that religion are committing acts of terror in the name of said religion. And one final question: do you believe that the IS are justified in their actions? |

 | News regarding the French Police Raid: 2 Suspects Dead, 1 Suspect Holed up in Apartment in Northern Suburb of Paris. A woman has died after detonating a suicide belt during a police raid in Saint-Denis targeting the suspected mastermind behind the deadly Paris attacks, police say. There was an exchange of gunfire during the operation in Saint-Denis, which a police source said was targeting Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who is suspected of being behind the series of coordinated terrorists attacks across the French capital. Police said two people died during the siege, including the woman who blew herself up, and that three people had been arrested. It is not clear if Abaaoud is one of two to four people thought to be inside. Source: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-11-1...-paris/6952078 |

 | There are people every single morning @ bustops & trainstops who yell some arabic (sounds at least like it) language and I get heartatacks every single time. Ex: I'm waiting in a crowd of people for my train to arrive and suddenly someone from a bit far away suddenly starts yelling arabic sentences, just why, why do that. Also there are a bunch of bomb threats here too but I dont think anything has really happened yet. I wonder if its like that in the US and other bigger cities too, something like that has never happened here before :/ |
